DACIANA'S POV
My scream echoed through the whole tent and immediately I heard a sharp cry from my left.
My head snapped to look at what was going on and I saw my children hurdled in a corner, with a thick blanket over them.
How did they even get there, under the blanket?
My heart that had leapt into the air came back to its place.
In one swift second, I locked the door and sprinted toward my children.
Immediately, I dragged the blanket that was draped over them and I could see my children gasping for hair.
"Mama!!!" They cried out, simultaneously. Their lips turned down and their eyes wet, due to tears.
Asides that, they were gasping for air and their faces were red.
"What happened?" I asked as I gathered them in my arms.
Their chests heaved up and down and it looked like they had gone to hell and back.
Fear gripped my heart, thinking someone had come into my tent. Immediately, I sniffed the air and I concluded that no one had stepped in.
I had three children who happened to be triplets and I could say I had a hard time taking care of them.
I had a girl and two boys.
However, my question was met with curious stares from my children.
"We need to get out of here." I said to them even though they did not know what was going on.
One of the triplets put his hand up and touched my bloody face.
However, I quickly shook off his hand, not wanting him to be tainted.
Swiftly, I took them up and started to wonder how I was going to escape with three children.
I was already so weak from lack of food and now, I had lost blood.
As soon as I stood up to my feet, the door burst open and immediately five guards rushed into the tent.
"Fuck!" I cursed as the guards surrounded me and my triplets.
Immediately, they burst into tears and my head snapped to look at them.
They had a worn out look in their eyes and they were visibly scared.
"Spare my children!" I pleaded and immediately after the head guard snorted.
"We decide what to do with you." The head guard said, with a sinister smile on his face.
The words of one of the guards rang in my head. I realized they were asked not to kill me.
I knew that whatever I did, I would not die.
My eyes roamed around the tent swiftly and immediately I spotted a sharp knife.
I dreaded fighting before my children but then I had to do something to protect them.
With one of the triplets on my back and two on either side of me, I sprinted across the tent and let them down.
Immediately, I took hold of the knife and I crouched in a fighting stance.
"Stay away!" I said, in a threatening tone. For a moment, my eyes became blurry and I had to blink rapidly to get back in action.
I could not lose focus or else they would take my children and possibly kill them.
The cries of my triplets served as a rude awakening to me.
The guards stared at me and in the next second, the head guard burst into a fit of mocking laughter.
In the next second, he took out his gun and immediately shot at the knife in my hand.
The knife flew from my hand, toward my children who were behind me.
"No!!" I screamed as my body snapped in a bid to catch hold of the knife.
However, I couldn't. It was too late!
I shut my eyes, dreading to see the blood of one of my kids but then I heard a light thud.
My eyes snapped open only to see the knife resting just beside one of my boys.
My heart that was beating wildly, calmed down, with my hands clenched into fists.
The cries of my triplets intensified and immediately, they were on their hands and feets, trying to crawl toward me.
"On your knees!" The head guard thundered and my head snapped to look at him.
My knees hit the hard ground, seeing a gun pointed straight at my head.
"What do you want from me?" I asked, through gritted teeth.
My face was pale at this point and it was obvious I had no more energy.
"We don't need to tell you that." He said to me and immediately I felt my children's hands around me.
Without thinking, I pushed them behind me. If the guard should pull the trigger, the bullet would have to go through me first.
"Search the whole place. Take anything you can find." The head guard ordered and immediately my eyes widened, in fear.
I did not think they would want to search the whole place.
I had a box tucked away in the ground and for a moment, I was scared that they would find it.
"I can see fear in your eyes. Are you hiding something?" The head guard asked me and I shook my head, frantically.
In the next second, I stopped shaking my head, thinking they would get suspicious.
I did not want them to think I was hiding something.
I watched as my little clothes and tattered belongings were ransacked and thrashed.
My children's things were thrown all over the place with some of them hitting me in the face.
"What a shabby place." The head guard mocked.
I was starting to wonder if they were really guards of the Crescent Pack. They did not look disciplined and trained.
But then on a second thought, I reasoned that the guards of the Crescent Pack may be below standards.
"We could not find anything." One of the guards that had ransacked the place informed, and I took a deep breath.
They would not be able to find what I have hidden.
"Let me go! I have nothing to give." I said, in a low and pleading tone.
My black and dirty hair stuck to my face as I was sweating buckets.
It was funny how I was able to overpower guards and now I'm here, on my knees, pleading.
"Oh, you have something to give." The head guard said, in a sinister tone, while his eyes roamed around my body.
I got his message and I screamed, immediately, "No! I can't give you my body."
My hands wrapped around my chest, in an effort to protect myself.
By now, the cries of my kids had reduced and I was glad they were calm.
I just needed to get the guards out but then that was a mission impossible.
In the next second, the head guard snorted and immediately he ordered, "Get the children!"
At his words, my eyes widened in horror and immediately I stretched my hands.
"No! You can't get my children." I said but in the next second, I was pushed to the ground.
My head hit the wall and immediately they grabbed my kids.
"Get your hands off my children!" I screamed with a crazy look on my face but in the next second, the head guard shot at my feet and I flew in the air, slamming on the ground.
My eyes were wide in horror as the guards marched out with my kids and the door slammed shut.

ULFRED'S POV"Alpha!" I heard my personal guard call out from behind.I was standing before the floor to ceiling window, in my study room and immediately, I turned to look at him.He had a troubled look on his face and I arched a curious brow at him, expecting him to talk."There is a situation, Alpha." My guard said and I frowned."Say something. Why are you so jittery?" I asked, in an irritated tone."You need to come see for yourself, Alpha." My guard said to me, in a pleading tone.At this point, I had lost interest in what he had to say. If he could not say anything, then I did not need to attend to anything.I knew my pack wasn't in danger because I could feel it."You can go." I said to him, waving him off. However, he persisted, "But, Alpha…" He began and immediately, I cut him off."Out!" I heard Dianne ask, as she walked toward Ulfred.I was surprised, knowing I did not laugh at her. I was just in my own thoughts. At this point, Ulfred had a frown on his face. He did not even know what to say as Dianne had asked two questions he wasn't willing to answer. However, I would not keep quiet.
