As soon as Spencer entered his office, he asked, "Did you come to have lunch with me, Ian?"

Ian pursed his lips and used the same tone as him. "What's wrong? Shouldn't you know the answer to that best?"

In a battle of wits, the smart ones would either cut straight to the heart of the issue or feign ignorance while knowing the exact truth.

Spencer calmly replied, "I thought you knew I'm only interested in my wife." He implied that he had no concerns regarding Eunice's business.
