Spencer saw the flustered look on Lucille's face. He chuckled and quickly gave her another kiss. He sounded pleased as he said huskily, "I'm very happy to hear that, Mrs. Layton."

He started the car again. He held the steering wheel with one hand and her hand with the other. He didn't ever want to let her go.

Lucille was actually already used to it. Whenever he drove and she rode shotgun, he would habitually intertwine his fingers with hers.
