Elika gasped, the pain unbearable as her body slowly began to stitch itself back together. The memories of her death confusing. How was she alive? After all, no one could’ve survived such a blow to the head ... Right? The regeneration of her brain and jaw were unimaginably agonising. She spent hours frozen in place as her body mended, she was completely conscious and yet couldn’t control her own body. She was laid in a mass pool of her own blood, the metallic smell sickening. Her mind wandered aimlessly; to begin with she had pitied Darkous though now, her only thoughts of him were of hate.
The princesses body broke out in a fever, her blood boiling just beneath the skin. The regeneration was almost complete, her body becoming more and more alert. Every sound and vibration in hell suddenly hitting her all at once, the noise deafening. Elika’s muscles began to cramp, causing her whole body to ache. The drowsy fog in her mind was only just beginning to dissipa
Elika took another step away from the dark lord, her breath catching as she looked around. The forest land around the mansion spread out for miles, connecting with vast open fields. The princess only spotted one road, leading for miles between the trees; muddied and eerie. “Just let me go home.”The dark lord gripped Elika viciously by the hair, pulling her towards him as he spoke. “You are never going home! You will stay here until I say otherwise.”The princess pushed against Darkous, attempting to break his grasp on her hair; desperately kicking him in the leg. “Let go!”The dark lord snarled, tightening his grip on the princess. He launched her towards the double doors of the mansion, her small frame crashing into the black wood. He stormed towards her, watching as the princess attempted to crawl away. She took gasping breaths, trembling as Darkous approached. She knew instantly that she had made a mistake, her fear rising
Elika groaned slightly, her bones stiff as she began to wake. She pulled the soft blanket tighter around her small frame, attempting to fade back into sleep. Her eyes flickered, slowly adjusting to the dull lighting. The princess sighed deeply, moving to lie on her back in the cage. The metal contraption began to sway as she moved, causing Elika to freeze in fear. She bit her bottom lip, waiting for the cage to slow; eventually halting as she remained still. Her mind wandered as she stared up at the top of the cage, metal bars filling her vision. She planned to escape, only so far; she had no idea how. The princess may manage to get out of the cage, but what then? Where would she go? Nowhere ... Elika had nowhere to go, her knowledge of hell sketchy at best. She sighed again, her hope dwindling. All the princess wanted was to go home, only that wasn’t an option. The dark lord would not allow her to leave, and if she did; he would hunt her down. The consequences of running more
Darkous repeated his chuckle, slumping into his chair as he spoke. “I will do that soon. Don’t you want to speak with her? You did want to meet her, did you not Dorian?”Dorian turned back towards the princess, tilting his head as he inspected her. “Hello little girl.”Elika leaned back against the cage, refusing to look at the man as he spoke. She slowly placed her head onto the bars, briefly closing her eyes as she remained silent. The princess didn’t feel like speaking with them, her mood low and sorrowful.“Elika ... Aren’t you going to at least say hello to this rather nice man?” Darkous questioned, leaning forward in his chair. The princess sighed, mumbling her response as she continued to look anywhere but where the man stood. “Hello...”Dorian chuckled as he turned his attention back towards the dark lord. “She isn’t a talking person, is she?”“
The princess followed the dark lord silently after he let her out of the cage; carelessly glancing at the photos on the wall. Each portraying a woman that was profoundly more beautiful than she could have imagined. She realised after a minute of stating that it was her uncles lost love that smiled at her from within the picture frames, the only things in the whole mansion that lay in tact.Darkous suddenly stopped in front of an old oak door, carefully opening it as he flung Elika to the ground; giving her no care. He peeked through the darkness of the room, checking for any intruders. Once he knew it was safe, the dark lord carelessly picked up the princess; her small frame crashing against his shoulder. The princess wailed in pain as her uncle began to descend into the darkness, she gripped onto his shirt; her pulse rising as she became increasingly nervous. Darkous flipped an unseen switch, filling the strange underground room with a red glow as he lifted the princes
Elika jumped at the sound of the trees deep voice, gasping as she took another step away from her uncle; nature giving her the confidence she needed. “I might ... I have help.”The wind hissed at her response, commanding the trees to be ready. They were all set on aiding the princess, helping her escape from the dark lord’s grasp. She hid her smile, un-wrapping her arms from her stomach; no longer needing the comfort of it.“I can request for every immortal and creature to help me apprehend you; I would suggest that you stay in the mansion.” Darkous warned, taking a step back as he clicked his fingers.“Why won’t you just let me leave?! I will never stop trying to run from you!” She screamed, frustration clear in her tone as the trees ordered her to run; warning her that her window of opportunity was closing quickly.“Because you are my prisoner and I will never let you leave until I see fit. Now get b
Elika screamed in shock, carelessly dodging away from the man. The wind hissed vilely, throwing the werewolf into the air. She took a step back, tears sliding down her cheeks as the man’s large frame was viciously slammed into the ground; blood oozing from a fresh wound in his leg. She turned, forcing her weak legs to run. The trees around her aided her once more, giving her a direction as she looked around desperately. She ran for miles, her chest tightening as she gasped for breath. The princess knew that the creatures continued to pursue her, cutting her options thin. She pushed her back against a tree, scanning the darkening woods. A figure appeared from behind a tree his demonic yellow eyes savagely landing on Elika as she shook. She placed her head back against the large oak, her fight slowly beginning to dwindle. Dorian took a long stride towards her, laughing as she struggled for breath.“You know I once met a young girl who tried to escape from me; do you
“Fucking using her abilities. Everyone be ready! Rycho, ram the next one.” Dorian growled, storming towards the next tree.Elika braced herself as the centaur rammed the towering oak, almost knocking her from the branch. She wrapped her legs around the branch as her body twisted, jolting as the half man half horse creature once again slammed into the tree. The towering oak groaned in response, ordering Elika to move faster. She moaned in strain as she pulled herself back onto the branch, stumbling to her feet. The princess reared back, rushing forward as she propelled herself from the tree. The wind caught her as she began to plummet, flinging her into the next tree. Learning her lesson Elika quickly rolled onto her feet after smashing into the branch, rushing across it as she leapt through the air. Her small frame shook with strain as the wind aided her from tree to tree, barely giving the centaur enough time to rear back as she moved to the next. More creatures
The coming of age festival was something Darkous had been awaiting all his life, the night he turned sixteen. The celebration was a tradition in the family, bringing together all the most powerful immortals into one place. Though the young prince wanted something different, to change how the festival was planned. Darkous wanted the mortals their two, his friends from the mortal school he had attended. Chronos disagreed with this, warning his son against bringing mortals to hell. But the prince ignored his father, focused only on having the love of his life attend his celebration. Tonight the youngest son of the great Chronos will become a man, to take his place among the immortals. The festival dance had started like any other, with each person being announced as they entered the grand hall. Darkous entered the hall alone, waiting for the arrival of his love. The young prince wore the family crest on his black shirt, the head of a white dragon signalling from what immortal clan he w
