Chapter 19.

Anastasia’s POV

“You need to come home now” he reads out loud and my intestines clench

“Receiving that type of message has never been good” I tell him

“Want to call, to find out what’s wrong?” He asks me.

“No, I don’t want to do that. I need to go home”.

“Let me drive you”

“Okay” I mutter as different thoughts of what could have gone wrong cluster in my head.

“Everything will be alright” Jim says to me as he goes further to place a kiss on my forehead.

“Thank you” I mutter.

“Here, wear this” he says, handing me a simple gown and I smile appreciating his effort, not even thinking about when or how he got the gown. I put it on, and he wears his shorts and a T-shirt.

When we’re both ready, he holds my hands and guides me down the stairs, into the corridor and out of the hotel.

I pause for a bit for fresh air. It seems I was suffocating mentally and I needed the air.

“Are you okay?” He asks. Sincerity in his voice.

“Yes I am” I reply

“Let’s get going,” he says, grabbing me by my hands and
