As Sage held the divorce certificate outside the court, she felt like she was in a dream. Ian had actually signed the divorce agreement. They were divorced now. She was free!

"Here are the deed and keys for Palgrave Place." Ian handed her an envelope.

Ian hadn't taken it with him the last time he visited the hospital, so she had a deliveryman send it back to him. Sage hadn't expected him to still insist on giving it to her.

"There's also a blank check inside," he said apathetically. "Both you and Grandpa insisted on not taking any of my assets, but we were married after all. Consider these as compensation for you."

His face was expressionless, and his voice was devoid of any emotion. He had reverted to his usual cold and distant demeanor.

Sage turned him down. "It's alright. You don't owe me anything."

After all, she was the one who pushed for this marriage. Ian could've avoided all this trouble. Now, it was time to let everything go back to the way things were.
