Drew ran through the corridor, making his way quickly to the library.

He hoped the professor was around.

Drew had received a phone call from his family.

The Centaurs had captured a live Half-Myth Hunter.

Drew felt himself smile.

The amount of pain the Hunter was going to go through now that he had been caught by the protective and angry Centaur Clan was not going to be slight.

Drew caught sight of Abel’s tall frame stood next to a pretty girl with pretty blond hair.

“Hey!”

Abel looked up with a smile, “Drew!”

Drew skipped over and gave the girl a smile.

The girl broke into a warm grin.

Daryl stared at the girl in front of her.She looked beautiful. Soft pink hair reached down to her waist and she had gorgeous eyes. Even in a baggy grey sweatshirt, the girl looked cute thanks to her petite build and the gentle slope of her hip.Anyone else would have passed her off as a trendy young woman except of course, for the large butterfly-like wings that extended from her back.Daryl swallowed, feeling her throat go dry before turning to her friend, “This is your cousin?”Daryl reached over to set a large stack of books on to her bedside table. She sighed as she looked over at the last of the boxes she had emptied.Moving was always a lot of work but she’d really been looking forward to the process this time since she got to spend time with her best friend.A thrill settled in her chest when she remembered what they had begun.

Daryl cozied into bed, a cup of warm cocoa in her hands.Beryl and Daff sprawled across the other side of the bed with mugs of their own.“So, you’re a Half-fairy and you need to escape the hands of someone who’s trying to kill you.”Her friend’s cousin nodded, “That’s right.”Daryl watched in amazement. She could only believe what the pretty girl said owing to the large, deep-purple wings that looked heavy.“Do,” she wanted to know more, “do you know other fairies or other- mythical people?”Daff nodded with a pleasant smile, “I haven’t seen many types. I’ve only ever seen Elves, Merpeople and one Centaur one time.”Daryl gaped, “What?! Where are you guys when I’m walking through the woods?”Daff laughed, “Well, mom and I live in a cottage a little into the woods but most of my dad’s fa

Professor Theodore walked along the corridor to his next class.Abel had asked to see him that morning but hadn’t showed up at the library. The tall professor sighed. The boy probably didn’t harbour any feelings of guilt about it either. He was always so quiet and completely inaccessible sometimes.Professor Theodore had had an unusual amount of trouble getting Abel to open up when they’d first met but now, the two were incredibly close. Most of Abel’s story was still unknown to Theodore but now and then, Abel opened up with a throng of feelings and stories before clamping up again. He didn’t even seem to consciously process how closed off he was.Theodore glanced into one of the classrooms as he walked by.Being a Half-Myth himself, he mostly understood how lonely most of their kind could feel but Abel and Ethan seemed like they were in more distressing positions than most others
