Chapter 15 Russell Shows His Love

After returning to Serene Manor, Zoey spent the afternoon drawing sketches in her bedroom. After checking them and making sure there were no issues, she sent them to Leanna's email.

She stretched and looked at the time displayed on her phone, it was already 5 o'clock in the afternoon.

Several news articles suddenly popped up on the screen.

Zoey looked at Moriah's beaten face and sighed softly, "So much for her nose job... doesn’t even look like her anymore."

A line popped in.

Russell: Did you like the gift I gave you?

Zoey replied immediately, "I really like it. When are you coming back?"

Russell: "I will come back later from the gathering with friends tonight. I will take you with me next time. Go to bed early tonight, you don't have to wait for me."

Zoey wanted to say that she would wait for him to come home at night, but then she realized that if she said that, Russell wouldn't be able to enjoy his gathering with friends.

So she deleted that sentence and changed it to: "Okay."

At that moment, there was a knock at the door.

Emilee, "Mrs. Maddox, dinner is ready."

Zoey replied, "Got it, I'll go down now."

She glanced at the bruised and swollen face on the screen, exited the news page, so as not to affect her appetite even with another glance.

She got up and went to the restaurant downstairs.

Meanwhile, Moriah lay bruised and battered on a plastic surgery hospital bed, talking tearfully on her phone.

"Ariana, I got exposed, it must have been Zoey's doing! Otherwise, right after I had an argument with her, I got ambushed and brutally beaten up by Rylee's fat witch."

When Russell was pushed into the private box, Braeden Hensley and Toby Suarez had already arrived.

Braeden poured a glass of red wine and handed it to him.

Braeden asked, "You must have known that your fiancée had returned to the country for Nelson, didn't you?"

Braeden was drinking alcohol and almost spit it out. He coughed violently a few times and said, "Russell, are you saying that you slept with her?"

Toby chimed in, "Silly, they must have gotten married."

Braeden looked over, a pair of peach blossom eyes waiting for Russell's response.

Russell remembered the scene in the car before he and Zoey got married, where Zoey stamped him. His lips unconsciously curled up.

Braeden's mouth twitched, "No, Russell, did she put a curse on you? You're even laughing? You're not looking for that little girl anymore?"

Russell glanced at him and said, "I have found her."

Just when Braeden was still confused, Toby woke him up with a single sentence, "Obviously, it was Zoey."

Braeden: What!!

This damn fate!

Braeden asked, "Has  your leg thing been  revealed yet?"

Russell caressed the cup's wall, "No."

"Then, wouldn't Zoey think that you couldn't do it?"

Russell glanced coldly at Braeden, who immediately fell silent.

Toby teased, "A perfectly fine man, shame that he got a mouth."

Russell curled his lips and then tasted the red wine, "Is this wine from Arellano Chateau?"

Braeden raised his thumb and said, "I heard that the woman behind Arellano Chateau is the owner, but she doesn't like to take care of things. The business of the winery is all managed by her capable subordinate, Kenya Carter. Russell, the Maddox Group wants to build a winery, so they can definitely learn from Arellano Chateau. With your charm, you can definitely lure out the owner behind the scenes."

Russell laughed and said, "I was married, so sending you away would be just right."

Braeden: "..."

At half past eight in the evening, Troy entered the private room on time.

The black Maybach drove on the way to Serene Manor.

Troy glanced in the rearview mirror and said, "Mr. Russell, we have four cars behind us."

Russell nodded and said, "Let's go to the top of the mountain."

Troy nodded, "Understood."

He turned the steering wheel towards the direction of Hillside Road.

Because the car was modified, it was very fast.

The car behind went from initially concealing to later recklessly chasing.

The car drove onto Hillside Road, but the four cars behind did not dare to drive too fast.

The driver's assistant frowned and said, "Why do I feel like that car deliberately led us up the mountain?"

The underling asked, "Is that Russell really the person they were looking for?"
