Lily
"Excuse me, but can you repeat what you said?" I pressed. I don't think I've heard him clearly. He didn't just say I should be his girlfriend? Harry groaned and tried to free himself from the big man's hold. "Have a seat first." "I am not here to sit, Ryker," I replied. "Tell me, what did my brother take that belonged to you." I folded my arms across my chest. Deep down, I was burning. I just needed a little push and I will unleash everything. But first I want to hear what my brother did that he wants me to bear the consequences. "You know...." He trailed off. "I now understand why both of you are crazy. You and your twin brother have a very big mouth. The same mouth you used in telling me shit the other day." "I like that." He mused again, the corner of his lips going up. "Can you drop that weird smirk of yours and start talking." I knew I was in a dangerous territory but I had worked on being a tough girl over the years. Things like this might scare me off but I know how to get out of the situation. I had gotten myself out of it when he tried stepping on me the other day. "Okay. I will tell you." All of a sudden, my throat went dry when he sat up. I thought I was tall but the young guy making rounds towards me was way taller than I expected. Did I forget to mention, his eyes were almost darker than his t-shirt as he fixed them on me. I slightly shifted back when he got too close, leaving a little space between us. "Your brother over there smashed the headlight of my bike." "What? How?" I blurted out. My brother doesn't own a bike so far, I know. And most of his friends his age likely don't own one. "He was overspeeding obviously." "Wait... I don't know what you're trying to do here but Harry doesn't own a bike so how on earth did he break your headlight." I ended up looking up at him. Damn! The color of his eyes. I didn't take notice of that the other day. "I think he should be the one to explain that to you." I turned around to Harry. The cloth covering his mouth was taken off. "Lily...I know...This will come as a shock to you." He commenced his eyes diluting with fear. One thing about Harry, whenever he gets into trouble, he avoids my gaze. And right at that moment, his eyes were looking at everywhere else but mine. "Harry," I called in my most calmest voice. "Tell me how did you get involved with this guy." "You can call me Ryker." He said. "I know your fucking name but I will call you whatever I want to." I snapped with an eye roll before focusing back on Harry. "I...used his bike...and ended up breaking the headlight." I still found myself calm at the revelation. "Okay. And how did you get his bike?" "My friend's friend's brother got us the bike. And I wanted—" I nodded my head continuously pretending I understood his friend's friend's phrase. I inhaled and exhaled a deep breath trying to keep my anger at bay. But it would be a matter of time before I let everything out. With my fake smile, I turned to Ryker. "Um...Ryker, I'm sorry for my brother's actions. He's careless and young. I will make sure I pay for the damages." We will surely go on a hunger strike after this because we won't have more money after paying for the damages. I will soon lose the remaining morning I have left in my account. "You can't pay for the damages which is why I laid out that offer." My smile instantly faded. "How much am I going—" "Do you have ten thousand dollars?" "Ten—what?" My eyes widened. It was his turn to fold his arms across his chest. "Per headlight. For both the two, that's twenty thousand dollars." I clenched my jaw and furiously turned to Harry. "I will kill you today Harry!" I stormed towards him and gripped his hair. "Are you crazy!" "I can explain Lily." "You must be stupid If you think I will allow you to! How could you do this to me? After everything. After all my sacrifices! I knew something was fishy with the way you have been moving around with the bikers. I will kill you today, Harry!" I kicked his legs and got him down to his knees. "I'm sorry Lily. I didn't expect it to turn out that way. I wanted to try it out. I swear-" "Shut your mouth else I will blow you. You are so fucking annoying!" I screamed at the top of my lungs raking my fingers through my hair in anger. Crying won't help matters because, in the end, it won't get me what I want. It won't get me more money. "Why getting angry? You have your job; you can raise the money." "What? Did you fucking say I have a job, Harry? My part-time job doesn't sort out our bills. I skip school so I could go to work and bring food to the table. You do nothing yet you dare to tell me shits!" I never knew my twin brother was an ungrateful and foolish human being till now. I clenched my fist ready to blow his face for once when I felt my body being dragged away. "Let go of me! Let me teach this ungrateful fool a lesson!" I wiggled in Ryker's arms but he was strong. "Pull yourself together girl!"." I kicked his legs and his hands loosened around my body. "Get your hands off me!" I seethed. "I work my ass off every day without rest and you're here asking me to pay twenty thousand dollars for a bike? You might as well sell me and get the money." Ryker was taken aback by my stunts. Just when I thought I was a spitfire, the next action from him made my body shake with fear. He yanked me forward by gripping my arm, his tight grip emitted a wince out of my lips. "Listen here young girl, I am a crazy man. Don't come here and act like an uncultured girl. He's your twin so he obviously knows what he's doing. If you can't clean his mess, fine. We can settle it at the police station. Maybe if you and your brother spend two to three days in jail, you will come back to your senses." Okay, I knew he was danger but I didn't know the situation would get more dangerous as Ryker held me in his arms and attacked me with his crazily dangerous eyes. For a moment, I found myself short of words. All of these were Harry's fault. Sometimes I used to have thoughts that maybe he wasn't my real brother. Because he had never behaved well. He's always making trouble. Right from the time our parents were still alive. Ryker noticed the way my body went cold. He released his hold on my arm and stepped away. "Mark, take him out." He said in command. "Wait...where are you taking my brother?" "Chill. He'd be next door till we are done from him. You can do whatever you want to do to him later on." I threw a death glare at Harry who had an apologetic look on his face. "I will deal with you later Harry. Just prepare yourself." I warned. And he knew what I was capable of doing. I will lock him up and beat the shit out of his body. It doesn't matter whether he was my twin. Up to the moment Harry was taken out, my eyes didn't leave him until the door was shut in my face. "So..." Ryker started making me to return my focus to him. "Let's sort things out once and for all." "I am not going to be your girlfriend." "You are going to be." The way his tone came out sharp and the way he had his eyes fixed on me tells me the man is not okay in the head. "I am not some toy for you to control." I broke the few-second silence that lingered around. "I am giving you an easy option to sort out your brother's mess and will forgive you for what you did to me the other day." He must be kidding. I don't feel sorry for what I did to him. He deserved it because I can never tolerate bullying or harassment. "And that is becoming your girlfriend?" I said, a chuckle escaping out of me. "Yes. because I need a girlfriend and you're the perfect candidate." "I'm sorry but I can't be a girlfriend to a stranger. Someone I don't love and on top of that an arrogant biker." Yes, he's arrogant. Very arrogant. And I don't like the aura surrounding me. It gives me a dangerous chill. Ryker leaned over the desk and intertwined his hands together. "Okay, you can send the twenty thousand dollars then." He said it so casually as if twenty thousand dollars was a piece of cake. I don't have five thousand in my account talk more of twenty thousand. To get a freaking twenty thousand dollars, I will have to work like a slave for two years or more. With bills hitting me, I don't get enough for myself. I gulped down saliva. "I don't have it." "I knew you don't." He chuckled lightly. "You don't look like someone who would be able to raise that amount of money." He was indirectly calling me a poor woman. He looked like someone who would dash out that amount without feeling the pain. "I—" The sound of the door opening interrupted me from saying what I intended to. I was confused. "Here's the contract, Ryker." The person who walked in said. His voice sounded familiar. "Ryker don't tell me she's that stupid boy twin sister?" "Yes, she is, and the same girl that spilled the milkshake on my shoes." The guy busted out with laughter. "You must be kidding me, woman. Do you know who Ryker Oscar is?" "Of course, I know. The notorious and most popular bad boy in the whole high school." I spelled it out word for word. "You knew that yet you mess up with him?" A scoff left my lips. "I don't give a damn about that," I answered nonchalantly. "Interesting. I like this. Both brother and sister are crazy." "I am not crazy!" I snapped at Ryker. "Let's do this sharp. If you want to save your brother's ass you should do the right thing. Either pay the twenty thousand dollars right now or you go to jail." "Or..." he trailed off his eyes not leaving mine. "Be my girlfriend and I will get you a new job. I'm sure you will need a well-paid job to pay for you and your twin brother's school fees." My eyes widened at his statement. "Yes, I am offering you extra." My eyes darted between the two. If I choose the first option, I would have to sell off our house and raise the money and we will end up on the street with no shelter. And if I choose the second option, I will save my brother's ass and mine and also get a new job. Won't my decision put me in problem? What if it was a trap? What if I put myself in more trouble? Nervousness kicked in. "You are going to play the role of my girlfriend for just 6 months. After that, I will set you free." Ryker cut through my thinking. Being his girlfriend for 6 months is not a bad idea. Biting my lip, I placed my hands over the desk. Playing the role of a biker's girlfriend doesn't sound like a bad idea. It would just be an act. I gulped down a lump before speaking up. "I will be your girlfriend."Ryker "Are you sure involving the girl won't cause us problems later on?" Ralph, my close friend and most trusted partner in the biker gang pointed out. I was standing by the window, gazing outside. The sky was dark and carried so many stars in it. I didn't expect the situation to escalate to this too. I just got my heart betrayed by the girl I thought would stand by my side. The same girl I pledged to love and protect with everything in me. The same girl that I did everything for. Only for me to catch her with my stepbrother in bed. That betrayal didn't stop there. It turned out they had been having an affair behind my back. I always knew Marcus didn't like me. He showed his dislikes the very first day father brought him and his mother into the family and introduced him as my brother. I never thought father had other family apart from me and mother. He never mentioned anything while she was alive. Until after her death. A few months after her passing, he brought them in. We were
Lily All eyes were on me as I sat down on the seat offered to me by Ryker’s father. No one needed to tell me who he was because the resemblance was there. Ryker’s surprised feature was still there. I bet he wasn’t expecting me to come off like that. I was surprised at my new way of dressing. When Ralph came to pick me up, he had asked me to wear something professional yet classy since I would be meeting Ryker’s family as his fiancee. And from the clothes I have in my wardrobe, none would fit the classy theme he wanted. So, I asked him to take me to a shopping mall. An outfit caught my attention which was way professional and classy, that was what brought the idea to dress just like them. A gang member. The silence lingered in the room until Phillip Oscar, Ryker’s father spoke up, his deep voice resonating through the room. I could understand why he was a leader of a gang. The aura around him looked strong.Ralph had briefed me about Ryker’s family. Not much but enough for me to put u
RykerI should have known striking a deal with someone I know little about would cause me problems. I was so desperate to find a solution to my problems and didn't bother to do a background check on her first. Because why in hell would someone make up a lie like that? Firstly, she dressed up like a gangster baddie which was unexpected. Secondly, she fed all sorts of lies to my father about how we met. I was going to be the one to do the talking when she arrived. But I was shocked when she came in dressed like that. Although I would say the gangster outfit fits her red hair. Another thing that shocked me was how she told my father that I was attracted to her red hair. I didn't even pay much attention to that. She's too spiteful for my liking. And now that I am slowly getting what I want, I can't afford mistakes. Not with Marcus and Hilda making their way towards us. I took a step forward and circled my hand around Lily's waist taking her by surprise. Her eyes widened at my action. Sh
Lily"Harry!" "Get your ass out here!" I shouted raking my fingers through my hair in frustration. Its too early for my brother and I to start a fight but every time, he pissed me off, one way or the other. He doesn't even care about the mess he put me into. The mess I got into because of his reckless behavior. I had a slight bit of regret inside me last night as I saw the way Ryker's family are. For him to use me just to get back at his ex-girlfriend added more to my turmoil. I never bother about any man, I don't even give a damn but I wouldn't want someone to take advantage of me. "Why are you shouting my name as if I'm a thief." I didn't hesitate to smack his head. "Are you crazy? What is all this mess." I gestured to the unkempt pillows and snack bags."Oh is this why you're shouting? You can sort it out of course." he proceeded to walk pass me but I dragged him back. "I didn't ask you to leave. Where are you going?"I accessed his body from head down. He wasn't in his school
Lily“Where exactly are you going?” Harry asked me for a million times as I dragged my big box out of my room. I haven’t said a word to him neither did I attempt to. I wheeled it to the front door before going to the kitchen. “I’ve been talking to you answer me. I'm not a ghost.” He said as he followed me to the kitchen. I fetched myself a glass of water, gulped down, and steadied my racing heart before finally fixing my eyes on him.“I’m leaving.” Harry's eyes darted left to right in confusion. “To where?”“We find another way to fend for us. We can't stay here penniless and starve ourselves. Thanks to someone, I have lost my job and everything.”Harry heaved out a sharp breath realizing where my words were heading. “Listen, Lily, don't engage in anything bad just to get money.”“I am not like you fool!” I snarled pushing forward to smack him but he retreated back. “I might be crazy but I won't stoop so low for money.”You involved yourself with Ryker’s, don't you think that is also
Lily“Remember don’t do or say anything out of what we discussed. And most importantly, don’t get into a fight with anyone.” Ryker explained. Only if he knew. I wasn’t planning on following any of his requests. Just to show him how crazy I am, I would do things my way. “Are you listening to me?” He asked looking at me with annoyance. I was the reason behind his annoyance because I didn’t go for the slutty dresses he picked out for me. I went for a baddie. That will depict the gangster personality. I have never worn that kind of outfit before but it’s better than wearing revealing clothes that I’m not comfortable with. “I heard you. Everything you said. It’s stored in this head of mine.” I uttered forming my lips into a thin line. Ryker eyes didn’t waver from mine and I knew he had more to say.“There’s no way I would be convinced that you’re okay in the head. I’m sure you have hit your head somewhere before.”“Shut it! You keep saying I’m not mentally stable. Stop getting on my nerv
RykerFor the first time, I saw fear in the eyes of the woman who always acts tough and crazy. It’s easy to tame her type. They act all strong but when you dig, you will realize their heart is fragile. The fear in her eyes quickly turns to anger. It happened so fast and unexpectedly, I felt an intense pain in my groin. Lily pushed me away. “Get off me!” she spat. I held the spot with my hand. How can a woman be this strong?I managed my stance but I could still feel the pain down there. “Are you crazy? Do you want to dismantle my thing?”I expected to see regret in her eyes but she was smirking instead. Her eyes went down. “Your thing?” she repeated as if she didn't understand what was going on. “Oh, that?” She said. “Is it not strong enough? Or does it not work again.”If I say I wasn't shocked at her boldness I would be lying. The only thing I didn't do was show my reaction. The fact that she was saying all that to my face without even having any chills baffles me. “Looks like you
Lily“Are you crazy? Do you think marriage is a joke!” Where the words of Bella after I had told her everything. Bella is a very close friend more like a sister that I can’t hide things from. “Help me with my zipper,” I said instead ignoring her rant. It was finally the ceremony day of our wedding. My fake wedding to Ryker. The past two days had been quite hectic not what I was expecting. But I get to notice some of the habits of his family. I notice Ryker doesn’t get along with his stepmother. As for the woman, I wasn’t sure whether her smiles were genuine or she was only putting on a fake facade. Overall, I couldn’t care less. What mattered to me was the job. I had my first meeting with the gang members. It wasn’t what I expected but I can handle it. I was brought back from my trance by a smack on my back. “What the fuck!” I hissed out massaging the spot. “You’re too violent.” I threw her a glare.“I can never surpass you. What are you thinking exactly? How could you marry someone
