Chapter Eighty-eight: To Alecto's Place.

"My Lord," a guard cried out as he barged into Rendall's room.

"How dare you come into my room without knocking?" Rendall snarled.

"I'm sorry your highness, but something really tragic has happened."

"Get out!" Rendall snapped.

"Leander's daughter is nowhere to be found," the guard pressed on.

"I asked you to get out!" Rendall growled, surprising the guard. The guard had expected a different reaction from Rendall. He expected Rendall to get pissed at his enemy for escaping, but here he was, acting like the news meant nothing to him.

"Are you still standing?" Rendall asked coldly as he noticed that the guard was still in his room.

"No. I'm not," he replied and ran out of the room.

Rendall sighed in relief. He was relieved to hear that she had escaped from the dungeon and had gone with Montague. Montague was the only person, aside from himself, that he could trust Helia with. Hopefully, Montague would take her out of the wereworld before his father has been notified.
