Irene’s POV:

I ran from the kitchen counter, at the sound of a horn. I heard Noah’s voice telling me to be careful, as I was in heels. It was uncomfortable as always. But anything for this fake husband of mine. I smiled at the imagination, how his eyes would wander on me before he would voice out.

I paced when I was near the door. I opened the door, finding him in front of me. I couldn’t control my inner happiness that appeared on my face. My eyes fell on his hand. They were empty. No flowers? I smiled even more. I decided not to mind it at all. It was enough for me that he was here. I didn’t wanna waste time, by nagging about stupid flowers.
