I was done arranging my stuff into the box and the can was already waiting outside, I can't believe I'll be away from my mom for five months. I hugged her very tight when I was about to leave the room.

“Mom, don't forget your medication,” I said to her after hugging her. I never knew it was going to be this hard to leave the house with my mom alone with a caretaker.

“I am going to take care of myself don't worry about me and focus on your work.” My mom said to be calmly, I know she was also trying not to tear up, I could tell she was also missing me already, so much that she didn't want to part ways with me.

“I'll call every day to check up on you.” I said to my mom and gave her one final hug before walking out of the room. I don't know if my mom is ever going to figure me out the day she gives out that I've been lying to her all these while. I wonder how she's going to feel when she finds out one day that this trip is for my wedding and honeymoon.
