CHAPTER 2
( 5 years later ) Ivy sat in her office, her glass window overlooked the city giving her a breathtaking view. She had successfully built and managed her own company over the years, after battling Ethan for months in court she eventually parted with more than half of his properties due to his infidelity. Her company was one of the most sort after company in the country. She was recently named the second most successful Female CEO and was featured on popular magazines. She sat on her seat reviewing the documents the MD had brought earlier when her phone suddenly buzzed. She grabbed it and checked the caller ID, it was Emily. Ivy smiled widely as she picked the call. " Babe, what's up?.........oh....... You're in my house? alright alright I'm coming " She ended the call and grabbed her bag making her way out of her office. She made a quick stop at her secretary's desk and gave her instructions before heading to her car. Her driver was already on stand by and they left for her house. "Girl........." Emily squealed as Ivy entered into the living room. She pulled Ivy into a tight embrace. Emily had been out of town for 5 months working on a tough case and she had finally won. " I've missed you so much, it's been quite lonely " Ivy spoke as she and Emily settled on her couch, and she handed her bag over to one of her housekeepers. " Please take it to my room " She said " So, are you seeing anybody? Oh please don't tell me you've been too busy working? " Emily asked, curiosity written on her face. " You already know the answer to that, I've been very busy managing my company I don't need any distractions right now " " Babe unless you're still hung up on Ethan, you really need to move on " she stated " Please don't mention that scumbag's name, you know just how much I hate him " The mention of his name twisted her insides. " Speaking of that devil...... " Emily dug her hands into her bag, she seemed to be looking for something. She finally found what she was looking for after a few seconds of ravaging through the bag. " Here, I saw this on my way here " She said, as she presented a crumpled piece of newspaper to her. Ivy unraveled the piece of paper and her face dropped when she saw Ethan on the front page. He was declared as a wanted individual by a loan firm. " Wait.... isn't this Vance's establishment ? I knew Ethan gambled a lot but getting entangled with Vance is a whole new level girl " Ivy said , a concerned look plastered on her face. " Don't give me that look, he deserves everything bad thing that comes his way. And oh Candice asked me to say Hi to you " Ivy's gloom face suddenly brighten up at the mention of Candice's name. She had hated her guts until she found out she was actually her ally. Candice had dated Ethan just to collect enough evidence for Emily. They would not have won the case without her help. " Oh please tell her I said hi as well " she said, as she dropped the newspaper on the floor. " Good, now that that's over with there's a party tonight and I'll like us to go. At least go out and make new friends " Emily said, her eyes twinkling with excitement. " Emily...... " " I am not going to take no for an answer, now get up we need to pick a perfect dress for you " She said, she grabbed Ivy's hand and pulled her with her. Ivy sat on her bed, she watched in amusement as Emily picked out different outfits for her to try out. Maybe it was indeed time she opened up her heart and met new people. She had everything except a family she could call her own. She looked over to the big portrait beside her closet, it was a picture of her dad. She missed him terribly, she had lost him to the cold hands of death just 2 years after her marriage to Ethan. She knew her father wouldn't love her current situation and so she was ready to try again just for him. " Look at this dress, it matches your Emerald eyes I think it will suit you well " Emily said as she waved a beautiful dress in front of her. Ivy was lost in her thoughts. Emily snapped her fingers in her face and that jolted her back to reality. " Earth to Ivy......what were you thinking? " " Nothing, the dress is beautiful but don't you think it's rather too short " Ivy shrugged " Nope it's just perfect " she said, grinning widely. ............................ Emily dressed Ivy up beautifully, well maybe a little too beautiful because all eyes were on her as they entered the VIP Party. Ivy felt a little awkward but Emily seemed to know majority of the people present as she went around introducing her to them before they eventually went to a secluded place to settle down. They were served drinks and they talked and laughed until a guy came to speak with Emily. He grabbed her waist and spoke some words into her ear and she giggled. " Ivy, I might take a while but I'll text you once I'm done, make you sure talk with someone don't turn anyone away. Promise me " She grabbed her hands and gave her a pleading look. " Alright I promise " Ivy gave her a meek smile as she watched the stranger led her friend towards the hotel section of the building. She spotted a man seated right beside the exit door. He had a flowing dark hair and it shined in the dimmed light. His hair reminded her of star gazing with her father and she found herself smiling at her childish thought. She couldn't see more of his face as the stranger seemed focus on a newspaper. She sighed and turned her attention back to her drink. Several men approached her but she shot them deadly glares and they all walked away. She kept taking shots waiting for Emily's text message until she became tipsy and she started blanking out. She got out of her seat ready to go home when she suddenly lost her balance, she tripped and awaited the fall when a strong arm quickly aided her fall. She looked up to inspect her savior's face and she stared straight into a pair of hypnotizing silver eyes. He seemed to have said some words but Ivy heard nothing, she was too busy drooling at the sight of his face. It was him , the guy from earlier. Ivy ran her hands through his hair. Her mind screamed at her but she seemed to have lost control of her body as she suddenly slammed her lips against his. She felt his body stiffen but she kept going and his body relaxed almost immediately. Within the twinkle of an eye he gathered her into his arms and headed to the hotel section of the building his eyes burning with lust. As they got into an empty room Ivy immediately stripped off her clothes and pounced on him. She kissed him roughly before he took control and pinned her down. " Easy tigress " he said, his eyes never leaving hers as he stripped himself as well. One thrust and Ivy felt like she was going to explode, she clinged unto him, her loud moans filled the room as their body intertwined.CHAPTER 15 "Oh fuck! harder Marcus!" Irene screamed, as a tall muscular figure rammed into her from behind, gripping her steadily as he let himself loose inside her. Sounds of his meat sliding in and out filled the room as their bodies moved in a fast pace, Irene's hand gripped the sheets tightly as her moans became louder before they both cried out in pleasure. Irene collapsed with a satisfied smile. Her body felt sore but the tingling sensation in between her thighs reminded her that all the pains she felt was worth it. As she sat up on the bed, Marcus walked over with a glass of champagne and handed it over to her. The man, tall and handsome, with piercing blue eyes, smiled back at her, his gaze lingering on her face. As they chatted and flirted, Irene couldn't help but feel a thrill of excitement. This was her secret, her escape from the pressures of being a high-powered CEO. No one knew about her affair, not even her closest friends and family. The man, whose name was Mar
CHAPTER 14 As Ivy pulled back from Matt's embrace, her eyes still shining with tears, the sky above them seemed to darken. The air grew heavy with electricity, and the wind began to pick up. As the sky grew darker, the air thickened with anticipation. Suddenly, heavy raindrops began to fall, drumming against the garden's lush foliage. Matt glanced at Ivy, his eyes sparkling with concern. "Let's get you out of this rain," he said, offering his arm. Ivy took it, and together they strolled through the downpour, the rain soaking through their clothes. But Matt didn't lead her back to the car. Instead, he guided her toward a majestic house built into the heart of the garden. The house was unlike anything Ivy had ever seen. Its timber frame seemed to grow organically from the trees themselves, as if nature had sculpted the wood into a breathtaking work of art. The roof curved upward, resembling a wing in flight, and the windows shone like polished gemstones. As they stepped insi
CHAPTER 13 Emily sat in her office, surrounded by the familiar scent of old books and the soft hum of the computer. Her eyes drifted out the window, lost in thought. The memories she had tried to bury for so long began to resurface - memories of how she became an attorney, driven by a desire to fight for justice and protect the innocent. Her mind wandered back to her childhood, to the days when her brother, Wilson, would manipulate and deceive to get what he wanted. Emily's eyes narrowed, her jaw clenched in determination. She wouldn't let her brother ruin Ivy's life, not after everything she had been through. With a deep breath, Emily pulled her attention back to the present. She glanced at the clock on her wall, the ticking of the hands a reminder that time was of the essence. Her eyes fell on the phone, and she knew she had to make the call. She picked up the receiver and dialed a number from memory. The phone rang several times before a low, gravelly voice answered. "Emi
CHAPTER 12 "Stop right there!", the voice called out again. Wilson turned around in horror ready to meet his fate, but he couldn't see anyone in the hall way besides himself. As his eyes scanned the dimly lit hall way he realized he had passed by a door earlier as the voice suddenly faded into quiet shimmers, Wilson let out a sigh of relief as he realized the voice was just a maid having a nightmare. He stood there for a moment, listening to her murmurs, and then continued on his way to the study. As he crept inside, he found himself surrounded by rows of bookshelves and a large, wooden desk in the center of the room. Wilson's eyes scanned the space, searching for any signs of the documents his father needed. He began to sift through the papers on the desk, his heart racing with excitement and nerves. Suddenly, he heard a faint noise coming from outside the room.Wilson quickly hides behind one of the bookshelves, holding his breath and hoping to avoid detection. His heart racing
CHAPTER 11 WARNING!!!! EXPLICIT SCENE AHEAD!!! Wilson's eyes widened as he read the message. He couldn't believe his luck. This was the perfect opportunity to get closer to Rachel and potentially gain more information about her family's dealings. He quickly typed out a response, trying to sound casual and nonchalant. "Hey, I'd love to come over! What's going on with your parents?" As he waited for Rachel's response, Wilson's mind began to wander. He thought about the potential risks and benefits of spending the night at the Johnson estate. Could he really trust himself to keep his true intentions hidden? Rachel's response arrived, and Wilson's eyes scanned the message. "They had to leave for an emergency meeting. I'm really scared, Wilson. I don't like being alone in this big house." Wilson's gut twisted with guilt. He was taking advantage of Rachel's vulnerability, but he couldn't afford to show his true feelings. Not now, when he was so close to achieving his goal. With
CHAPTER 10 Henry Williams, once a respected attorney, had lost his way after his wife's tragic death. Grief and desperation drove him to prioritize wealth over integrity. He became a rogue attorney, catering to the rich and powerful. One case, however, proved particularly challenging. Smithson vs. Johnson, a high stakes battle over corporate empires. Henry needed a breakthrough. Sitting in his dimly lit study, surrounded by files and whiskey, an idea struck him. His children, Emily and Wilson. He had neglected them, but they could be useful. Henry summoned his children to his study, a calculated glint in his eyes. "Children, I have a proposition for you. Help me win this case, and I'll ensure your futures are secured." Emily's skepticism was palpable. "What do you mean, Father?" "I need you to infiltrate the Johnson family's inner circle. Gather evidence, build trust. Whatever it takes." Emily's eyes widened in horror. "Father, that's insane! We can't just spy on people!
