Chapter 69 Don't Insult Me

The next morning the hospital was busy, Emily was called in early and the doctors were sad.

"Mrs. Emily, she passed away early in the morning. We haven't informed Miss Linda yet. Considering her fragile health, we're afraid she might be devastated."

Emily sighed, rubbing her forehead with her hand, "She's an adult now, and besides, it's her mother who passed away. She has the right to know the truth. I'll go tell her."

She entered Linda's room and found Linda sitting quietly on the bed, staring blankly out the window, almost as if life had left her body.

Beside her was a small diary that Linda had been using since her hospitalization, writing in it every day.

Emily had known about it all along, even buying her the pink diary.

"Linda, what are you writing?" Emily asked, picking up the open diary.

A black pen lay on top, and a string of verses caught her eye.

Here, desolate, not a blade of grass grows.

Later, you came here.

Miraculously, everything came to life.

This is my heart.
