Thirty-Six

"Let's make this quick," I told Lily as we walked towards the pregnancy clinic.

She had insisted that I follow her to see the doctor. I couldn't refuse. She was carrying my child. I had to take responsibility. I had to.

"You could at least pretend to be excited. I didn't make this baby on my own." She said, her voice dripping with anger.

"It doesn't change the fact that you could have prevented this. I'm not happy about this Lily. I feel responsible, yes. But don't expect me to fucking happy!" I snapped.

She rolled her eyes and shrugged. "Have it your way. I know you'll come back to me anyways."

She shrugged again, stepping into the clinic. I grabbed her shoulders and held her in place.
