“Maybe Madam mixed it up when she was fixing medicine for herself and accidentally dropped it into the spinach soup.”

Christina was not foolish enough to believe this lousy excuse.

“Stop defending her. You say she’s consuming saffron for medicinal purposes? Is she courting her own death? I’ve never heard of any woman over fifty consuming saffron!”

Some younger women who had no intention of conceiving might consume saffron and other traditional herbs to recuperate their health but even so, no one would use a large amount like the entire saffron stem.

Christina’s face fell. Judy kept quiet after realizing she was making matters worse.

The car pulled to a halt at Larson residence. Christina was the first one to get out of the car. Judy followed suit and the two of them headed toward the villa right away.

There was no one in the living room. Christina made a loud noise deliberately when she placed the insulated bottle on the table. “Where’s Heather? Come here right now!”
