With a sneer, Michael told Heather that someone resented Wendy for telling the truth and consequently crippled her legs. He also added that Sophia had developed close ties with some hooligans in Hoover Alley before she married John, so he believed that Sophia had evil intentions.

Heather was shocked to hear the recording, and only then did she understand that someone was trying to take revenge on Wendy. If Wendy’s words were false, Sophia and Serena could have sued Wendy to defend themselves, rather than plot against her.
