Christina called Matthew once she got into the taxi and told him that she had to leave early because something had happened back home. He flew off the handle at that. “Don’t be asking for your bonus this month!”

Yara was finally happy upon hearing that. This assistant was not at all insensible after all. Now that the third wheel was out of the picture, she could do something naughty with the man.

“Darling, where are we going later?”

He smiled gently. “I’ll send you back to the hotel.”

She was disappointed as she knew instantly that he was going to leave after sending her back. Had she been too arrogant before that the man had lost his interest?

She deliberately played hard to get the last time she was at Jade City for a day to shoot a drama. It was expected that Matthew would be so obsessed that he would call her constantly after that.

However, she had been waiting since then but she still had yet received a call from that man. It was as if he had completely forgotten about her.
