Chapter 20 First run together

Third Person's POV 

Aiden was horrified when he saw Xander throw Abigail over his shoulder. 

‘Oh my Goddess, what happened? What did she do wrong?’ Aiden wondered. 

The Omega began to panic. He didn't know how to help his sister. He was terrified Xander was going to hurt his sister or worse, kill her. The sound of a loud smack made the Omega jump. ‘He's definitely going to kill her!’ Aiden thought as he tried to think about how to help her. The Omega becomes more panicked when he realizes he's too small and weak to take on Xander. 

Sensing the Omega's distress, Thaddeus reaches over and gently grabs his chin, turning the Omega's face toward him. The Alpha gently cups Aiden's cheek and strokes it with his thumb. Big doe eyes stare into Thaddeus's eyes, and the Alpha's heart clenches when he sees how scared he is. 

“It's okay, calm down. She's okay. He won't hurt her. They're just playing around. Xander would never hurt your sister.” Thaddeus said as softly as he could. 

Almost immediately, the Omega relaxed. Thaddeus smiled when he felt Aiden lean against his hand. This was quickly becoming one of Thaddeus's favorite things. 

As Thaddeus looked at Aiden, he suddenly had a brilliant idea. He knew Aiden had not been outside since they rescued him and thought it was about time he got some fresh air. 

“How do you feel about going outside with me? We could let our wolves out and go for a run together,” Thaddeus asked, and Aiden's face lit up. Omega's eyes seemed to shine, and the biggest smile spread across his face.

“Really? Y-you will let me go outside?” Aiden asked. The Hope the Omega had was visible on his face, and it caused the Alpha's chest to tighten. He knew the Omega was abused, but by the sounds of it, he wasn't allowed outside either. The more Thaddeus learns about Aiden's treatment, the more it angers him. 

Thaddeus pushed his anger aside. He didn't want to get upset in front of Aiden and scare him, so he forced a smile on his face and took Aiden's hand into his. 

“Of course, you can, sweetheart. You're not a prisoner here.” Thaddeus said softly. 

“So what do you say? Do you want to go for a run?” Thaddeus asked, adding a playful smile at the end. Aiden quickly nodded his head, causing the Alpha to chuckle and reach up, roughing his fingers through his hair. 

“Come on then, let's go,” 

Aiden hopped out of his seat, and with a bounce in his step, he walked beside Thaddeus.

Aiden was beyond excited. He couldn't believe the Alpha was allowing him to go outside. That was something he was never allowed to do in his old pack. He could only dream of being outside in his old pack when he looked out the windows. 

The only time Winter was outside and felt the Earth under his paws was when they ran away. It was the only time his wolf was able to run. In the basement, Winter could only walk around on the hard cement floor. But even that was rare. Most of the time, Winter had to save his energy to heal Aiden, or he was too exhausted to even shift. 

But when the wolf could shift, you would have thought he was free. Each time Winter was able to shift, he was thankful and excited to stretch his legs. He would prance around the basement as if he was walking free in the woods. 

Aiden could feel Winter's excitement. He was practically running laps in his head, excited to be able to run free and not from being chased. The idea of running with his mate and finally seeing Zeus face to face had the Omega wolf so excited he could barely contain it. 

Aiden was buzzing with excitement as they approached the front door. When the door opened, it took everything Aiden had to control his excitement. But as soon as the door closed behind them, the smile quickly fell from his face. Aiden looked around, terrified, as he followed Thaddeus down the ramp. 

The Omega's eyes darted around as he looked at everyone. He wasn't expecting so many people to be outside. He wasn't sure what people would think when they saw him or if they would try to hurt him. 

Aiden shuffled closer to Thaddeus but got a little too close, and the Alpha almost ran his foot over with the wheelchair. Aiden stumbled and fell forward, almost face-planting in the dirt. Thaddeus reached down and scooped the Omega off the ground before placing him in his lap. 

Aiden's eyes widened as his arms wrapped around Thaddeus's neck to support himself. Aiden blushed, embarrassed that he just made a fool of himself and fell. The Omega hid his face in Thaddeus's neck, trying to disappear.

Thaddeus's heart skipped a beat, and then he chuckled at Omega's cute reaction. He thought the Omega was beyond adorable. 

Thaddeus wrapped his arms around Aiden as he chuckled. The Alpha pulled him closer as he leaned down and kissed the top of his head. It felt so good to hold him. Thaddeus never wanted to let him go. 

With Aiden tightly clinging to his neck, Thaddeus continued towards the woods. The Alpha loved every moment of it. 

Aiden kept his face hidden, only lifting it to peek out and see if anyone was looking at them before hiding his face again. 

‘Goddess, He's so cute!’ Thaddeus thought and then pressed another kiss to the top of his head. 

Once inside the woods, Thaddeus didn't take long to reach the spot where he normally shifts. It's a small clearing, perfect for undressing and leaving his wheelchair. 

The Alpha locks his wheelchair in place as Aiden adjusts himself in his lap, resting his face against Thaddeus's chest. Thaddeus wraps his arms around Aiden and caresses his back. He rests his cheek against Aiden's head for a moment before releasing him. 

“Come on, sweetheart. Let's go ahead and shift here,” Thaddeus said softly. 

Aiden lifts his face from Thaddeus's chest and immediately blushes when he realizes he's been sitting in Thaddeus's lap and snuggling him.

Aiden carefully stood up and then looked around for a moment before spotting a tree to shift behind. 

As Aiden went behind the tree, Thaddeus began taking off his clothes. The Alpha folded everything and stuck it on the seat behind him before pushing his body toward the edge of his seat. In one swift movement, Thaddeus leans forward, shifting and landing on four paws.

Zeus shook his fur out before turning around and freezing. Zeus and Thaddeus's heart skipped a beat, and their breath caught in their throat when their eyes landed on their beautiful mate.

Aiden's wolf peaked out from behind a tree before slowly stepping out.

Thaddeus was in awe as he looked at the most stunning wolf he had ever seen. Aiden's Wolf was all white with the brightest sparkling blue eyes. 

It took Thaddeus a moment to snap out of his trance and scoop his jaw off the ground. 

Zeus slowly approached, hating that Aiden's wolf wouldn't raise his head and look at him. He only stole a few glances. Zeus didn't stop until he was in front of Aiden. The Alpha wolf nuzzled Aiden's wolf, pressing his nose against his mate's neck.  

Winter melted against Zeus. It felt so good to have someone touch him. It felt so good to receive affection from his Alpha wolf. Winter pressed his snout against Zeus and nuzzled him. Loving the way his fur felt against his nose and his strong, dominant scent.

As Zeus nuzzled Aiden's wolf, Winter suddenly dropped his chest to the ground, keeping his butt in the air as he wagged his tail playfully. 

Winter had never played with anyone before, and finally seeing Zeus made the Omega wolf want to play. 

Thaddeus and Zeus thought Aiden's wolf was beyond adorable. Zeus made a playful movement, and it was all the signal winter needed. The Omega wolf quickly took off running and Zeus gave chase.
