64: THE BIG DECISION

I immediately got up to my feet as soon as the doctor came out of the emergency room. I have been sitting in the waiting room for the past thirteen hours, hoping and praying for good news.

My entire clothes were stained with blood. Yes, blood. Delilah had started bleeding seriously as soon as I got her into the car. I drove to the nearest hospital as soon as I could, my mind already in shambles.

I just knew with the expression the doctor had on his face that he was coming with bad news. My palm grew cold and sweaty as the doctor approached me.

“D-doctor, is she okay?” I asked, standing in front of him and trying to compose myself though my mind was running with millions of thoughts all at once.

“Mr. Marino, can I see you in private?” The doctor asked in a polite voice, his eyes trailing off to my mother, Kameron, Nolan and Sienna who were standing next to me.

I looked at them before turning back to the doctor. I slowly shook my head, “They are family, it's fine.” At this
