The sound of the door opening woke me up from my slumber as I peered at Azriel through sleepy eyes. His expression was murderous as he walked into the closet.

Without thinking twice, I got out of the bed and followed him. He looked at me as soon as I was in the closet with him, his hands placed on his head. “What's going on?”

“We are leaving tonight.” He said in a tight voice.

I looked at him in confusion. “To where?”

“Home. The tracker led us to Romania and from there, we'd know where to find her. We can't afford to waste more time, knowing Kian is open to more harm.”

Going back to a place I ran away from was definitely something I wasn't expecting. A place that had caused me so much trauma and pain. A place that I also had happy memories with Azriel. A place where our baby was conceived. The same place my life changed forever.

But I had no choice, did I?
