CHAPTER 67

Audrey’s POV

After Trudeau had returned upstairs, I couldn’t help but think about our latest interaction. Whether I wanted to see it as more than it was, it was different than I thought it would be from the first day.

While thinking of all of this, I held an ear for an airy movement from above. A voice in my head kept telling me that nothing was going to happen and that I was safe. I wanted to believe this, being Trudeau had said the same words and I believed Trudeau, right?

There were no windows to seek out comfort from. A lot of the space I found here was met with a wooden end which ended up taking me round and around the large room that seemed to have everything you needed in a specific corner. The only compartment with a door was the bathroom. I looked down at my body, lean and fair under the dull lights. I should take my bath now
