Chapter 1

My name was Winston Shand, and I was 55 years old. I worked as an online writer.

When online novels were booming about five or six years ago, I seized the opportunity and became one of the first top authors, earning a few million. Because of my short stature and unattractive appearance, I remained unmarried as I had never found a suitable partner.

Thankfully, the money I earned from writing and a few million I made through investments were enough to keep me comfortable for the rest of my life.

As everyone probably already knew, sitting for long periods could cause neck issues.

I was no exception.

The doctor advised me to go for a walk daily, so as usual, I took a stroll around downstairs in my residential complex.

At that moment, I heard a commotion nearby.

A group of middle-aged and elderly people had gathered around a few tall, smooth-skinned, attractive women dressed in a bodycon dress and black stockings. Each woman held a box of supplements and spoke enthusiastically, saying, "Don't worry, everyone. We sell only genuine products free from any colorants, fragrances, or preservatives. You'll see results after taking them."

After a seductive-looking woman finished speaking, another gentle-looking woman eagerly took the microphone and continued, "Take Mrs. Lee here, for example. She's 60 years old, and her previous job required her to stand for long hours, which led to severe arthritis. She spent tens of thousands in hospitals without relief, but after taking our supplements, she felt better in just three courses. It took her less than five thousand dollars!"

As she spoke, the woman showed a comparison video of Mrs. Lee. The results were quite visible.

I was never interested in buying health supplements. However, I felt a bit tempted after hearing their words. Since it wasn't too expensive, I decided to buy a few boxes, thinking they might help my neck issues.

Like the other older folks, I bought three courses and transferred the money to them.

Perhaps because I didn't hesitate when paying, the seductive woman looked at me coyly and asked, "Sir, I can see you have a serious neck condition. If I may be so bold, could I ask what line of work you're in?"

Her large, sparkling eyes were full of tenderness as she gazed at me.

Having spent most of my time at home, I was not used to such attention from a beautiful woman. Nervously, and rather awkwardly, I replied, "I'm an online writer. I sit in front of the computer a lot."

She looked at me with admiration. "Wow, that's amazing! I can tell you're a talented person. You must make a lot of money from writing, right?"

Every man liked being admired, especially by beautiful women.

Being straightforward by nature, I responded honestly, "It's alright. I've earned a few million, enough to retire on. I've put down the pen now."

Her eyes widened in shock at my words. She blurted out, "Let's exchange numbers, sir! That way, you can ask me if you have any questions about the supplements."

I was momentarily at a loss as this was the first time a beautiful woman had ever asked for my number.

She patiently waited, introducing herself as Nancy Stevens.

After exchanging numbers, I prepared to head home, but Nancy gave me several extra boxes of supplements. Since I couldn't carry them all, she offered to walk me home.

On the way, Nancy indirectly asked about my family. When I mentioned I wasn't married, she looked noticeably surprised. Arriving at my 2,400-square-foot house, she couldn't hide her astonishment.

I was expecting her to drop off the supplements and leave when she suddenly clutched her stomach and asked, "Winston, my stomach hurts. Could you get me a glass of water?"

Startled, I quickly went to the water dispenser to get her some hot water.

Just then, Nancy appeared behind me, wrapping her arms around my waist. A mild, subtle fragrance wafted from her, not overpowering but somehow intoxicating, and I could feel her softness pressing against me.

As she rubbed against my back, my mind went completely blank. A tingling sensation washed over me from head to toe.

I suppressed my inner turmoil and said to Nancy, "Ms. Stevens, please don't cross the—"

"Winston, are you rejecting me too? After coming here alone without my family, I've never felt any warmth or care. I couldn't help feeling a sense of familiarity when I saw you today. I really like you. You're not married, and neither am I… Why don't we be together?" Nancy pressed her face against my back as her sobs grew more heart-wrenching. Her words poured out as she recounted her life's hardships.

She stirred something within me when she mentioned how she wanted to find someone she could rely on in this city and how she really liked me.

Handing her the glass of water, I looked into her tear-filled eyes and explained, "I'm so much older than you. You must think this through. You can't just decide you want to be with me after our initial meeting—"

Before I could finish, Nancy leaned forward and pressed her lips to mine. Her touch was soft, bringing a wave of warmth that made my heart race.

Looking into my eyes with determination, she stated, "Winston, I've thought about it. This is my answer."

After saying this, she kissed my lips again. We fumbled our way to the bedroom and removed all the clothing we had on.

As I looked at Nancy's melons, smooth skin, and long, straight legs entwined with mine, I couldn't hold back anymore.

Having been celibate for over 50 years, I wouldn't be a man if I could still hold back after seeing such a stunning beauty.
