Chapter ninety-seven

Katherine’s POV

"Here, opens your mouth. Ahhh…" Caleb mimicked, opening his mouth wide looking like he was about to swallow a hot dog. I burst into laughter, covering my mouth so my food didn't spill out on the table.

"Stopppp!" I tried so hard to control my laughter, but Caleb kept on making funny faces until my stomach started to hurt from cramping after the incessant bouts of laughter.

The laughter died down and I had to dry the tears that had seeped through the corners of my eyes.

I looked up at Caleb with love shining through my eyes and a floaty, warm feeling in my chest. For now, the worries had seized and there was this happy feeling that filled my heart.

"Why did you do this?" We were on the terrace, but it had been transformed into a beautiful sight. The table had been pinned down, so it didn't fly away by the breeze and was set up in such a way that we were able to take in the beauty of the gardens and afternoon sky.

I've been down for the past couple of days, almost like t
