Days flew by fast with the police trying to dig in more into the Kenneth issue, Helen trying to figure out her master plan and the two friends figuring out how to keep the marriage as private as they could. The plan was to make Joshua pretend to be Raymond for as long as he can but that had Joshua laughing loud and asking the ultimate question
"What happens on the wedding night?" he asked at some point when they were out for a drink at the club
"I will kill you if you touch her." he snapped making Joshua laugh again.
"You do know that this plan is lame right?"
"I know, more please." he said to the bartender already looking drunk. It was final Joshua was driving them home that night. In two nights he was getting married all thanks to friendship and there was nothing he was going to do about it.

"You are quite generous Julia. If i were you i would never have agreed to a court wedding, not when i am marrying a loaded man like Raymond
Helen woke up the next morning head pounding and unable to remember most of the happenings of the previous night. As she tried to recall more the contents of her stomach flew right back threatening to spill out and it was then that she ran into the bathroom to vomit. Spitting out the venom she recalled pacing upstairs and entering the study finding Joshua cozily sitted by his study table scrolling down his phone. She did remember giving him the spiked juice but how come she was the one who passed out? Dragging herself out of the bathroom she walked in on her ringing phone but ignored it seeing that it was Timothy. She was beyond frustrated, how could such a brilliant plan fail? Dragging herself back into the bathroom she took a quick bath then paced out to go look for Joshua******All alone, Julia woke up the earliest feeling both nervous and excited, although she was getting married in secret atleast she was marrying the love of her life and the fact that it was sudd
A number of shiny black cars pulled over by the police station before a number of men in similarly black suits walked out to open the door for a smiling Richard. He walked out of the car and was embraced by numerous clicking sounds of cameras and journalists trying to get an insight for their stories. Squeezing his way past them his guards helped get him into the police station smoothly to meet anxious prosecutor Dylan Shumba"Minister sir...thank you for availing yourself. To my office please." he said leading a reluctant Richard to the office by the corner where he settled down at the back of his mind calculating his answers"I heard you were looking for me at the office prosecutor. Ensure that never happens again you caused a scene.""Well i am sorry sir, i can say i was just doing my job.""Just ensure it never happens again." he said firmly, tone full of threat"I would like to ask you a few questions sir in regards to the death of Kenneth Khe
Helen and Raymond quietly walked into the court attracting Joshua's attention. He looked at Helen who winked at him then at expressionless Raymond but that was an explanation for later"You may proceed and sign the papers." said the judge making Joshua hold Julia's hand as they moved forward. Julia tensed at his touch but Joshua ignored it, trying by all means not to mess it all up"Your touch, its different." she whispered once Joshua let go as he signed the papers"What do you mean by different?" he asked simply, as if he had no idea what she meant"I don't know. But maybe i am just nervous." she said as Joshua helped her sign the paper as well, "We are married now!" she squealed in excitement as she hugged him, "I love you.""Hmm...i uhm...yeah me too." he reluctantly hugged her back and the crowd cheered for the newly weds as they walked over to congratulate them. Raymond looked at poor happy Julia feeling guilty a
Joshua woke up quite late which was rather unusual for him. Turning to the other side of the bed he found nobody, she wasn't there. He made his way to the bathroom took a quick bath before heading out reality sinking in. He was a married man now and should act as one. He was now partly Raymond and had to act like him"Morning babe." a voice called out once he walked out of his room. Unsure of what to do he walked down the stairs gave her a light forehead kiss before looking into the pots"You are quite amusing. How did you gather all these?" he asked picking a slice from one of the two plates"Well i woke up quite early in order to familiarize myself with the place. I had to feel my way around. Are you impressed?""I am. Its rather surprising but i am. Now go sit down i will serve you.""No you sit i will do it.""I insist, please." Unable to argue any longer Julia slow paced her way into the dining room h
It was now night-time and all Raymond wanted was to finish up the whole bottle of whiskey and then slip into dreamland but his father would not have any of it. Dragging himself out of his room heeding his father's call he walked into his study, knowing fully well what they wanted to discuss "You look like a mess." he said but got no response. Brushing it off, he sipped the last bit of the blood red liquid then placed the glass away, ready to talk business "I hear Joshua got married. How come i know nothing about it?" Raymond took a moment to craft his response, trying hard not to show his frustration "It was a private wedding. You know Joshua does his own things." "I see. I never thought he would settle for a blind girl but i'm just glad it is not you. You have Grace to please so no funny business." he said voice firm and commanding making Raymond nod with hesitance. All his life he had always done what his father had asked and there w
Slowly opening the door and closing it after herself, Helen was oblivious of her old man sitting on the couch as she treaded past him on her way to her room. Richard knowing her fully well chose to give her some space to cool down before talking to her, not knowing the dilemma she had placed herself into. He then turned his attention back to the soccer match while Helen dragged herself into her room which she locked before treading into the bathroom for a quick shower all sorts of thoughts running in and out of her head. Never in her life did she ever think she will find herself in such an unforgiving situation."How could i have been so stupid!" she cursed as the cold water flowed from head to toe. It was a soothing feeling considering the blazing sun outside but not soothing enough to save her from herself. She was not willing to risk losing her womb and neither was she willing to have Timothy father the child. It was Joshua she wanted and if she was ever going to hav
Dylan walked into the prison gates his thoughts wrapped around the two mystery cases he was taking too long to solve. For the longest of times a part of him had told him he had convicted the wrong man, but the evidence was too strong to conflict that idea. Greeting the officer in charge, he was led straight to the man he had requested to see, finding him already awaiting him"Dominic...You don't look too good." he said taking the opposite seat"What do you want?" asked the poor fellow looking quite unpleasant, a bushy unkempt beard covering the most part of his face"I know non of us believed you when you said you did not murder that man, but I have been looking into you Dominic and a whole lot of things do not make sense to me at all.""I did not kill anyone. Darian approached me and offered me money in exchange for my boss' daughter Helen. The money was a lot i could not refuse so i agreed and that was the last time i saw the man
Richard was amongst the last people to enter the meeting room before being graced by the president's presence. The men, eight of them excluding the president sat staring back at the man in whose hands was the position every single one of them desired. Richard was quite confident it was him, and there was no way he was going to have spilled blood just so another man could harvest the fruits of his labor"Gentlemen...thank you for availing yourselves this afternoon. Well it is in my hands to appoint a new Vice president and i found one from amongst you." there was a little chattering and clearing of throats before the attention was thrown back to the president"I know all of you deserve this post, you all work hard but somebody has to be chosen right?""That's correct Mr President." the murmured in response"Now allow me to cut straight to the chase. I thought long and hard about this decision and i still feel its the best. Gentlemen

Joshua made a slight knock before entering Raymond's house a whole three months later. It had been one hell of a task for all of them to live through the trauma, and even harder to tell Helen since she was pregnant but Raymond did still, she had to know. Non of them had healed since then but they were trying "Hey." he said walking over to the bed where he sat with a pile of papers work subsequently being the only thing keeping him sane. "Hey come on in." he smiled carefully placing the papers away before going to join him on the couch. Joshua helped himself to the wine on the little table before him, pouring another glass for Raymond. Nothing was the same anymore, and that was the first time they were seeing each other since that dreaded day "I just wanted to check on you." said Joshua with a sip. Raymond gulped the wine liquid at one go, then poured in more "How have you been? I'm sorry i couldn't reach out i just..." "Its okay. You don't hav
Julia felt like puking, and Raymond froze in place. As for Joshua, he was still trying to understand what in the world was happening at that point. Almost a whole minute passed with all four quiet, the revelations sinking in. It was then that the sent guard walked in with a singles mattress and a blanket. He went on to carefully place quivering Julia on it and covered her with the blanket, the four victims still wound up in their different thoughts"Whoaa wait wait what the hell did you just say to Julia?!" fumed Raymond forcing himself out of Joshua's grip and he similarly did not bother to shove him back. He was too baffled to"You were not going to shoot me were you?" mumbled Raymond"Of course not!" cursed Joshua his gaze finding his wife, "What do you mean bombed our farm what are you talking about?" he asked further confusing a confusion struck Raymond"You know what? How about we let father do all the talking and we do all t
Julia had subsequently grown numb from all the pain, her feet being something she wasn't sure she still had. She struggled to open her eyes, eyelids heavy and body threatening to pass out. She released a painful cough, her gaze sweeping around the area and she realize she could no longer see properly. Everything seemed blurry, and a voice had her turning to trace it"Boss, at this rate she might die. She is weak." one of the men said. Richard walked closer and examined her. Although her vision was blurred, she could see him looking closely into her scarred face, she wished he would kill her already, the pain being unbearable any longer. But before she died, she saw it as a chance to satisfy her curiosity. Why did this family possess a picture her mother possessed as well. Maybe she once worked for them they were a rich family, and her mother was a maid"The...that picture." she whispered just as she let out a dry cough, blood almost splattering on Richard
Ricky felt like he was in some car racing tournament moments after he told Joshua the truth. Joshua wanted to get home at that point, he couldn't just go to Richards house he was unarmed. All he wanted was to arm himself and then leave. But he still couldn't figure out why Julia would be in a dungeon in Richard's house."Did he find out about their relationship?" he asked himself but there was no true telling to that. Another possibility crept in, Julia was an assassin, so maybe Richard had been the target? But he immediately dismissed it, Julia wouldn't kill Raymond's father she loved him. Or so he thought. After struggling to come up with a possibility that makes sense Joshua and Ricky finally arrived home. He immediately got out of the car but was greeted by a sharp pain to his chest. He was still bandaged and his wound not fully recovered, but that was the least of his problems. He wanted Julia in the house, in his sight and safe! He didn't care what she trained in
Richard wore a black shirt, knee length pair of shorts and sandals walking into the room. Besides the three guards he walked in with, two more came in both carrying torches which immediately lit up the room. Julia looked at the six men staring her down and felt like she was going to collapse. She felt very hungry and was consequently losing her strength, but there was no way she was going down without a fight"Young lady, you came into the lion's den, all by yourself and now you are tied like a criminal in the dungeon awaiting your miserable death." he said stooping down to her level and staring at her cold eyes"Yes i did it. I bombed the place. But for me to kill a beautiful young woman like yourself will be completely uncalled for don't you think? But then again if i hadn't caught you who knows what you would have done?" Julia spit into his face further infuriating him. Out of nowhere a cold hard slap landed on her face while Richard stood to his feet cl
"So she is a thief too." scoffed Richard as the guards pulled her away. He picked up the broken frame and looked at it now left on his own. He closed the door and walked over to his seat, his eyes still set on the picture particularly at Helen. She was all he thought about, and she wasn't on her own in that cell but with his grandchild. And now Raymond on the other hand had witnessed a part of his brutality first hand after all the work he had put in to ensure his children never witness any of his dirty deeds. It had happened and there was no way to reverse it Raymond would have to get over it. But somehow it still got to him how he had failed his children. He felt like he had lost the bet his ego felt bruised. He was already getting sleepless nights because of Helen, the media creating all sorts of stories about his family and now Raymond was about to hate him for what he had witnessed. He felt as if his ex wife was right when she told him he can never be a good father to the child
Raymond walked out of his room following the screaming and stood by the door stunned by the guards trying to kick the locked door open. Julia was the first person that came to his mind, and he immediately ran over just as the door was kicked to the floor. Raising his gaze, he met with an unfamiliar face, the clothing on her body being the only familiar thing to him. They were Julia's pyjamas. But why was she in Julia's pyjamas in fact, where was Julia?"******The rest of the girls ran into the house to witness whatever commotion was happening while Julia rolled the paper she had been reading and shoved it back into her skirts. She could feel the discomfort of having both the papers and the picture underneath her skirts but she wasn't letting any of them go, all she wanted was to get out of that place as soon as she can. She was beginning to realize the amount of danger she was slowly drowning into and to worsen the situation, she was completely unarmed. Ch
"This room is amazing! Look at this!" said the girl lifting up a flower vase as soon as Tinashe left"It is. Its amazing." she responded her eyes lingering anywhere and everywhere. It was a beautiful room, a medium sized book shelf stationed by one of the corners books neatly stacked. Her eyes found their way to his bedside where there was a picture of Helen then on the right side a picture of Raymond. His kids were indeed his life"Isn't sir Raymond so handsome? I wouldn't mind spending the rest of my life just looking at him." said the girl lifting up the picture, "I wouldn't mind sir Joshua either, he is so beautiful!" she said snapping Julia back to reality"You know Joshua?" she asked clearly aghast. The girl spared her a stunned look before placing back the picture"Don't be funny Thuba weren't we drooling over him was it last year lost your memory? And why does your voice sound different?" she said shocking Julia
