Hemorrhaging

Ryan's POV

As I entered the elevator, I stood at a corner and absentmindedly wanted to twirl my phone in my fingers. Then it hit me—I no longer had it, and a small smile crept onto my face.

Having Scarlett by my side wasn't as terrible as I thought. She seemed decent, but was forcing herself to act like a whore.

The way she glares and frowns whenever she says nasty things makes it obvious that she was also affected by what she says.

I couldn't help but wonder why she couldn't defend herself when I questioned her about kissing Jayden. I knew she wouldn't do it, but her response was far from pleasing, and it made me pissed off. She would still be punished for that anyway, all thanks to her flimsiness.

Having someone who could disturb me and destroy my things was something I had never experienced before, so having Scarlett around wasn't such a bad idea. However, I didn't want to develop feelings for her, and I certainly didn't want her to fall for me either. It would only bring more chaos
