Preparation

Xander's POV

That woman! argh! she pisses me off! She is a devil in disguise! I saw the soft toy that was plopped on her bed and gave a glare to it before I went and snatched it and started punching with all my frustration. That is when the door suddenly opened and Casey poked her head in.

"Hey Xan! What are you doing?" she asked me with furrowed brows. I cleared my throat "ehem nothing" I tried to regain my composure and placed the soft toy back on the bed and looked at her and asked boredly "Why?"

"Ah, A has made dinner for us. Come eat. You need to get some energy in you" she said and left.

Did I do something wrong to someone in my past to have to go through this. Ugh. I need to have a word with her about this ridiculous idea. No one can know about this. If not my whole reputation will be tarnished. I put on my best poker face and went out to have dinner. Just as I stepped into the kitchen a great aroma came through my nostrils which made my stomach growling instantly.

I didn't look in Arielle's direction and went straight to the table where the food was set up. After everyone was settled in we all dug in to the food and I must admit, her cooking skills are amazing. This is the best homemade food I have had in a long time. Before I realized I have gobbled down the whole plate and now sat back with satisfaction. I could feel someone's eyes on me and saw Arielle staring at me warmly. I grew awkward and just said a simple thank you and got up to clean my dishes. 

I went to the living room afterwards and switched on the TV while waiting for Casey to come out so I can have a word with Arielle. After a while Casey came out and I just relaxed on my sofa for a bit before I went back to the kitchen and saw Arielle cleaning up the rest of the dishes. I went and stood next to her and tapped on her shoulder. She looked up to me and asked "Yes?"

"I need to talk to you." and gestured her to follow me into the room which she nodded to so I left and shortly after she followed behind me so I closed the door.

"As you said, I won't go back on my word but there are a few rules."

"okay" she listened on

"Number 1. This has to stay between us only. None of my friends can know about it so that means you cannot utter a word about it to Casey. Understood?" I asked her clearly. She nodded "totally understood. I won't say a word. I promise" she guaranteed. "Good. Number 2, this is strictly for 48 hours only and not even an hour extra you got it? So after we are done, we go our separate ways and I would very much like it if we never stumble across each other again"

"Well I agree on the 48 hour part but considering you are Casey's friend and you guys work together, it cannot be guaranteed that I won't run into you but as you said, we'll go on our separate ways so got it!"

I’ll make do with that. "Cool! and lastly, don't expect me to take you out on any romantic dates or expect any cute things from me. Understood?" I asked her.

"okay, you don't have to do anything romantic BUT you have to give me my first kiss in a romantic atmosphere. I want to experience that!"

"Just the atmosphere? Cool I can do that."

She seemed extremely pleased with herself and came up to me with an extended hand "Let's shake on it" I grudging shook hands with her and felt how soft and warm they were against mine. I took my hand first and said "Since I am still recovering from a head injury I will need time for this. So let's do this next weekend. And I would appreciate it much if you stay out of my way before that" I politely dismissed her.

"Fine by me. I don't want any unnecessary attachments either" she shrugged and left the room. I once again sighed and face palmed. I hope this would be done and over with soon.

Arielle's POV

Almost a week flew by fast and Xander only stayed over at Casey's place one night and went back to his place. I have my 48 hour date with Xander tomorrow and I could say that I was nervous and excited at the same time. I decided that if I was going to spend 48 hours with him I better be prepared and I needed to start packing some lingerie.

I may be a virgin still but I always had good taste in lingerie but what I had was not special enough for my first time. You said that I'm not your type huh? Let's see about that Xander! I thought while smirking to myself.

"C, I'm going on shopping and will be back soon okay?" I grabbed the car keys and left the apartment. I went downtown and went to the mall and parked. I walked a bit to see if there was anything else that would catch my eye. I passed by a shop and saw a really cute sundress and went inside the shop to try it on. It was a peach pink color with spaghetti straps and a sweetheart neckline, it fits snugly up to my waist and was flowy from there and fell midthigh. Perfect! I got the dress and went to the lingerie shop to get something seductive. I was browsing through the isle when y eye caught a black full lace night gown with the front open like a curtain paired with a black lace G-string. 

I was hesitant to get it cause it looked really daring but what the hell! I'll just go with it! I got the merchandise and was paying for it when my phone started ringing. I checked my phone to see an unknown number flashing and answered the phone "Hello!"

"Be ready by 8 tomorrow morning. I am coming to pick you up" a cold voice said "Is this Xander?"

"Is there anyone else that I should be informed about who might join tomorrow?” he asked mockingly from me to which I responded “What do you think?” with as much sass as possible.

He snorted and said "Be ready babe, your 48 hours starts at 8 tomorrow! I hope you are all set to have a wild time" I could feel him smirking before the line got disconnected.

Is it just me or is it getting hot in here? phew! I asked myself while getting out of the store and fanning my face. I couldn't stop my giddiness now. I can't wait for tomorrow!
