In my grip was the bottled water that Darko gave me earlier. I drained it at a go, trying to quench the hunger inside of me.

Gurr! I smashed the empty bottle inside the waste bin and without glancing back at the dining hall or Darko, I walked back to the foyer.

I settled into one of the seats feeling unsettled. I might have put up a bold front, but Darko's words hit deeper than I had expected. "...what about Tiffany?" His words kept ringing in my ears.

"Well, what about me too? No one gives a damn!" I yelled, trying to talk myself out of whatever was going on in my head.

Everyone in the foyer glanced my way, but I didn't give a damn! I shifted restlessly on my seat, telling myself to relax but it wasn't working. All that kept coming to my head was Tiffany's forlorn look in the classroom when she jerked around to see if I was the one at the door. What a poor kid.

After repeated attempts, I excelled. I was able to knock the thoughts out of my head and I shut my eyes to relax. B
