007 - First lesson

The next morning, Lyra woke up with a nervous energy coursing through her veins. The events of the previous day were still fresh in her mind—how she had found herself beaten down in more ways than one, how the triplets had offered her a way out through training, and how, for the first time in a long time, she had felt a spark of hope.

After dressing in simple athletic wear, Lyra made her way to the large, airy room that the triplets had told her to meet them in. The space was mostly empty, except for a few mats scattered across the floor and equipment hanging from the walls. Erix, Dyrion, and Tyson were already there, waiting for her. Their casual stances hid a deeper seriousness, one that made her nervous about what was to come.

Erix, leaning against the wall, looked up as she entered. “Morning,” he greeted. His voice was calm, but there was an intensity in his gaze.

“Morning,” she replied, trying to sound more confident than she felt.
