Chapter 7 Searching for the Destroyer

After a busy working day, Ling Tianyi soon got back home by driving in his limited-edition Lamborghini Hermes-edition roadster. At the sight of his apartment in a mess, Ling Tianyi doubted whether it is his home or not very much.

“How dare you ruin my home, brave girl! You’re risking your neck!” said him. Kicking the rubbish on the floor, Ling Tianyi sat on the high-end sofa, which had been destroyed by a kitchen knife. But all of a sudden, he stood up in a conditional reflection. With a closer look, he found much salad cream fully covering the sofa.

Ling Tianyi frowned and went to the bathroom to clean himself up. He found a sentence written in big Chinese characters on the mirror, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.”

“Wanna revenge for me? It is me who should take vengeance on you for what you did in my apartment! I’m getting even with you for this.” He left his dump-like home as soon as he put on a pair of clean trousers casually.

Just now, Ling Tianyi saw these words of “Yin Meng Western-style Restaurant” on the takeout box, thus determining to find the destroyer there. After arriving at the restaurant, however, he did not find her.

“Good evening, Sir! How many of you?” asked a waiter.

“Get out of the way! I’m looking for someone. Out of my way!” Ling Tianyi pushed the waiter whose hair was slicked backed away and had a thorough search of the restaurant.

Finding Ling’s deluxe sport car and luxury clothing, the waiter realized that this man must be so wealthy and respectable that he could not stop or offend. What he could only do is to follow him, asking carefully, “Sir, whom are you looking for, a guest or a staff member?”

“A female deliverer who sends takeout.” said Ling Tianyi in a bad tone, for he did not find the destroyer. He also regretted so much. Why not asked the clumsy girl’s name!?

“Sir, we only have men send takeouts in our restaurant,” said the waiter. Ling Tianyi frowned on his words and pulled his collar, overbearingly asking “You’d better think it over! Is there any female deliver or not? Especially for last night.”

The waiter dare not to offend this rich man and he quickly smiled obsequiously at him, saying “I got it. There were so many guests last night that Xia Xiaoluo was casually appointed to deliver a takeout.”

“Where is her?” asked Ling Tianyi looking around the restaurant again.

“She was complained by the guest for not sending the takeout on time. She had already fired by the manager. Sir, Xia Xiaoluo had been away for several hours, but I could help you to find her if you need her back.” The waiter was very obsequious to Ling Tianyi, hoping to gain some benefits from the wealthy man if he would be of any help.

Ling Tianyi then released the waiter and said, “Give me a report of her. The more detailed, the better.”

“Yes, I will go to have a check right away. Would you like to have anything to drink?” asked the waiter.

“A Blue Mountain coffee,” said Ling Tianyi. He then took a seat. Clenching his fists, he determined to deal with the naughty girl severely today.

The waiter brought two pieces of A4 papers. “Sir, here’s Xia Xiaoluo’s registration form, including her phone number, her address and her resume. And here’s the copy of her ID card.”

“Good job!” Ling Tianyi took the form and had a glance of the little girl’s ugly identification picture. Throwing a stack of 100 RMBs, he said, “This is the bill, and the rest is yours as tips.”

“Thank you very much, Sir! Thank you! Have a good evening!” The waiter kept taking Ling Tianyi to the doorHe was so excited that he was right! The man was not an ordinary person and the tips he got were even more than what he earned for one month.

According to the address, Ling Tianyi soon arrived at Fuze Lane, the impoverished shanty town, which had not been urbanized. The place was so poor that even a car could not drive in. Twisting his way for nearly half an hour, Ling Tianyi finally found Xia Xiaoluo’s address on the registration form.

When deliberating on how to deal with Xia Xiaoluo, Ling Tianyi heard some words in the room, “Uncle Jiang, would you please give a few days’ grace again? I really have no money now. But trust me, I’ll pay the rent as soon as possible!”

“No money? But you said you would have your wages paid out by the restaurant today, didn’t you? How can you have no money? Anyway, I am not a philanthropist. Pay me the rent now, or I’ll kick you out!” said the landlord ruthlessly.
