Stephan's POVI woke up because I heard someone scream. I did not know how long I had slept.I was disoriented for a while. I looked up at the sky; it was dark as if smoke had covered it.My body was wet and cold. I moved my hands to touch the floor, and I noticed that the leaves there were wet too. It must be because of the dew.I pulled myself up to a sitting position and looked around.I was inside the forest; the whole place was covered with grass and tall trees.It must be the reason why sunlight cannot penetrate it.I used my wolf vision to look around.I noticed a little ray of sunshine shining somewhere within the forest.I followed the light till I got to where it was shining. "Don't you dare hurt her," I threatened. My eyes blazed. "You need to find Carli Stephan; he can find me." "They had him brainwashed into thinking that we killed his parents; if you can find him and convince him, he will help you," she screamed. I heard gunshots, and the line went flat. I screamed out of pain as I tried to mind-link her. I was scared to death hearing that shot. I was restless that I was not there. "Little one, are you okay?" I screamed in my head. "Please say something so that I will know that you are okay," I pleaded. "I am in pain, my love, but I will be fine," she said to me. "You have five minutes to tell me the truth William, or else I will start dropping dead bodies here," I threatened him. "Do you worse, Stephan? You are going to regret not taking my offer," he boasted.

Clayton's POV The moment I saw Clarissa on the floor and the look she had on her face, I knew instantly that she had heard everything. It is funny that she is trying to play it off. I needed to play along to make her relaxed, and I could watch her. I noticed that she was shaking out of shock. Since she wants to play, let's play. When she mentioned her mother's death, I knew that she was trying to divert my attention. I decided to fake it; she was so convinced by my acting.
