Two Kings for Ellie
“I'm not just the vampire king of tales, Ellie. I'm a talented artist.” Vanchure said with every stroke he made on the canvas with his paintbrush. “So you can either be the one posing on my couch, behind the canvas, or be the one whose blood I will use in replacement for paints.”
In a world that was divided from origin were two great mythical creatures, two great kingdoms, and two great rulers. Speaking of which were the Black Park, the wolves, and the Thorx Coven, the bloodsuckers. With the respect of law and order, these two kingdoms had a ball of symbiosis where they worked hand in hand to maintain their stable world. The wolves were considered as the soldiers. The protectors. The ones left to do the tough and dirty jobs within both kingdoms were the bloodsuckers, whose' strengths were limited to just being hard abor. While the wolves had the day and nights to themselves, the vampire blossomed in the night; they were considered as Royalties. In these two kingdoms, they had their kings. Eamonn, Alpha of Black Park, and Vanchure, king of Thorx Coven. They had maintained the law and order of peace and had always set their boundaries between each other until Ellie came along. Ellie was born of the wolves, just a commoner that the Alpha of my Park proclaimed as a mate.
Ellie is set on a path to rescue her missing sister from the hands of the vampire king, Vanchure. But on her first encounter with that handsome devil, her whole life takes a different turn. She's who she is now. An abomination, as the werewolves, her people called her. But what is yet to unfold from this abomination is what no one knows.
was.

Chapter: Chapter 6Van25 years ago.It was Eamonn's doing to always try to unite the two kingdoms. We were two types of entities living symbiotically in our beloved mystical world. It's a hard time keeping his filthy dogs on leashes; they always tend to stir up a fight with my people at rendezvous like this. So for the peace meeting, we stood side by side. Kingdom to kingdom to consecrate Shirlon’s temple, which was built by the soldiers and financially sponsored by the royalties.Although no one between the two kingdoms had the nerve to speak of it, there was a thick air of an undying hatred that has been passed down for centuries. There were some wolves I could see pointing hot lasers from their eyes to the skin of my people. I'm sure my people did the same too. This act was new. We were fruits that bore grudges from a long time tree. Eamonn stood with his people, and I, with mine. The temple that was built by quarrying and sculpting huge stones had a foundation bound with the blood of I and my bro

Chapter: Chapter 5Ellie “What? That is impossible.” “The vampire king, Vanchure, is all there is to think of except one to make mistakes. What he did was probably planned and carried out just how he wanted it. It's the reason we have no idea.” “She has been asleep for so long, Manny. I hope she's still conscious." The audible conversation of two people interrupted my sleep. My eyes slowly opened, and the smoky notes of cinnamon and cloves hit my nostrils. I stared at the ceiling, giving my blurry vision time to become more clear. I took my gaze downwards. There Murray and an elderly woman I couldn't recognize stood. A dull look on his face as he wipes his face with his palms. As if taking in my presence for the first time in a long time, the two people turned their gazes to me. The old woman looked calm, but it wasn't the same with my godfather. His face showed a look of uncertainty. Worry lines displayed on his forehead. A slight frown. And furrowed eyebrows.“Oh, love. You're awake.” Murray's

Chapter: Chapter 4Ellie That hatred for vampires boils hot in the hearts of my people. We hated them, their ways of life and the way they made us feel less of ourselves. For years, all my life, I've never seen any reason to harbour the same hate my people had for the vampires. I only saw them as a different species from us, because that was literally all they were. My people, the werewolves, said I smelled like one of them, like the vampires and I agreed, even if I knew too well that I had no close idea of how I had their scent on my skin. The damp leaves under my feet crunched as I ventured deep into the forest of Black Park, the border with us and the Royalties. I was back to where I ran from. I let down my blanket to let Ee, my wolf, out. I named her Ee because of the obvious, the first letter of my name. I closed my eyes, allowing myself to go deep into my senses while I let Ee out; I felt the thickness of her legs; they had gotten stronger. What a quick recovery. I shifted to my wolf so I coul

Chapter: Chapter 3 Ellie I lost consciousness in the woodlands of Black Park, which I've always known to be my home all my life. For all I knew, I was running so fast on my paws at one moment, and the next thing, I was lying still at the large gates of the Park house; my limbs felt wobbly and shaky beneath me. I had no idea how I managed to make it this far to this point still alive, and I wasn't sure I wanted to be told how. My clear white furs were stained with blood that had dried and become tacky; I refused to bring my mind to know the source of the blood either. All I just wanted right now was my mate; I wanted him to wrap his firm arms around me and declare that I was safe, even though a large part of me knew that it was false. I was doomed. Still, his words might and could go a long way. What had happened to me? Who must have done this to me? Why can't I remember a single thing? I hope this wasn't the effect of his compulsion. As far as my brains could search, I was told Isla walked into t

Chapter: Chapter 2 Ellie I acted on impulse, pushing him away from me the moment he leaned close. This is someone whose speed supersedes mine. He could be as fast as lightning, but he chose to launch his attack slowly. He leaned back, grinning. He drew a long breath and said, “I would really love to see you fight your way out of this. But I will have you know that in the end…” He shakes his head slowly. “There's no escape from this. You could be fighting with me, but...” “I would die fighting,” I said fiercely as I interjected. I position my trembling arms out, ready to get defensive. I knew fully well that if he wanted to make an attack, he would be able to subdue me before my very own eyes. It was my blood he wanted. For a reason I knew nothing about. I wouldn't let him have it easily. What a fool I would be to allow my predator to have victory over me without a fair fight. “We are both spilling each other's blood, even if you would kill me after all. My Park will be proud of me that I had to fight

Chapter: Chapter 1 Ellie “Jumpy eyes, isn't that what you're called?” King Vanchure asked as he dipped a painted brush into the palette. He knew the name my Park called me because of my eye disorder. That was what I could ponder on later, after I had gotten my request granted. It took me a whole lot to get to him; I was clothed in my skin with a magical liquid that masked scents that I stole from Eamonn. If Eamonn finds out I was here, in the dwellings of our enemies, because I wanted to save my twin sister, he would forget we were ever mates and deal with me according to the law. One plan: get in, retrieve my sister, and get out. If it would be as easy as I had plotted in my head. “I have come to seek that which you hold dear to me, my twin sister. Where is she?” My chest heaved from the long trudge in the cool woodlands of Black Park. I was shocked at the way I spoke. I spoke bravely like I wasn't in the presence of a powerful vampire. I laughed at my own stupidity. I swallowed down the lump th

Chapter: RoseOn the cliff that stood parallel to the only sea in Claw City Park, the same cliff which my blood spilled was where we sat looking out towards the sea. It was infinitely beautiful, the clear blue meeting the blue rippling sea on the horizon. Before now, I’ve never been close to enjoying a sea view. This was all I dreamt of, listening to the mesmerising sounds of the gentle waves of the sea with my dream guy. I had that dream coming true, all that it wasn't exactly as I had planned it to be. You make choices and life filters what it thinks is best for you. I wanted my dream guy, handsome, strong with a wholesome gentility. Emmett was all that except he was not gentle, he wasn't even close to being gentle, he could always act but he never was.I looked from the sea to the side view of his face, he was lost in the view of the sea. His hair on his head had grown longer than it had been a few months ago. I guess he never cared about his looks when he was hell bent on avenging his death, “

Chapter: Arthur“Each time the men from her lineage tried to break the spell, the urn was adamant. but each time the women tried, there was a bit of hope. We usually experience the urn lit up, the words on the urn glowed white but after some seconds, the light dies out. So we left it in the hands of the women from her lineage to give it a try. My great grandmother tried. My grandmom. My mom. And so did my wife. Until Rose did.” I want to go on my knees to plead once more to spare the lives of my people that were also his creations, the same people who had casted I and my family to suffer for the wrongs of my foremother but I was held in the shoulder by our ancient WolfLord, “Stand,” He said to me, then turned to the man in black cloak. He extended his hands out, I heard the bones of the man lying on the ground crunch. “I'll let you live. You and your people." He looked over to the dead bodies, "Peace to your fallen soldiers.” He said in a low tone. He turned to me as he made his way towards the

Chapter: Emmett“Few things about your martyr were erased from history. My forefather, the Alpha of your time was the one who ordered you killed, so the real history was passed down to me. He was known to be the only Alpha who was able to conquer you, but in his doings, he did not completely erase you. He couldn't at all. A prophecy was made that era that in another lifetime, a descendant of your lover’s bloodline shall be the one to free you.” Lucan rose up to his feet slowly, wincing with pains as he did. He pointed to Rose, “Emmett, this is the person you seek for, the one who by fate broke the spell on your ashes."Rose stared between I and the crazy Alpha, “You lie," I blurted, "She's human or was human until I turned her.” Few howlers mumbled.“Who was the first person you saw when you emerged from your ashes?” Lucan asked, There was no way he was going to deceive me into thinking Rose was the one. It was clear she was human, her family, all were humans. “This young lady was human, I turne

Chapter: RoseOver a hundred acres of land was in flames, burning hot. This wasn't the adventure I envisioned. I was told to be in here, that he would sense when I was in danger and come to me, that mind link thing he spoke of. But the person who promised me safety was nowhere seen. I kicked in on survival instinct. I feared the fire might get caught up with the wood his home was made of, burning everything to the ground. Scouring through the burning forest, I followed the path where the fire was less. There were a lot of things I was understanding about my new form. One of which was that I could pick up the scents. Down to the scent of pollinated flowers, I could perceive all. So I used that to my advantage, I walked through the burning bushes on their free path, my head bent upwards as I tried sniffing in the scent of my roommate…I can't believe I still referred him to that, my brain wasn't willing to let go of his presence in my fucked up life. I filtered the choking smell of smoke, my eyes we

Chapter: Emmett“Emmett, we know your story. We're aware of what transpired between you, your ex lover and the Alpha of your time, but I'll have you know that this Park has grown so big. We've grown greatly in numbers, making it difficult for us to distinguish who from who. The bloodline of Kayla, your ex lover, was never heard of after the whole thing with your mythr happened.”I looked at Lucan from where he sat proudly on his throne, the urge to fling him over so reigned in my mind but I withheld it, “It's a sad thing that this generation of wolves lacks wisdom but I want to believe that they are still werewolves gifted with the ability to track down my murderer. I ask only one simple thing, which is to bring the last bloodline of my murder to justice.”“Emmett, if you can just give us a little time, we…”Swiftly, I pulled him out his throne, suspending him in a good height mid air. This was to show him and the rest of his pathetic throne members that I was damn serious. There were mumbling amongs

Chapter: Beatrice “Pick up the damn phone, Arthur.” I had broken the barstool at which my hand held onto to help ease my tension, my wolf itched for outlet. I never guessed a day I would be happy and scared to my bones for my niece.Happy because out of the women from our forefathers, she had been chosen. Chosen to bring change. Chosen to let us free.I was sad because she knows half or nothing about where she came from. She's unaware of the line of family she came from. A young naive woman born of a bloodline of the rogue family. And now, on the course of being chosen to free the ancient one she had gone missing with apparently, the ancient one himself. It's how he was able to move her out of the house I found surprising. With no idea where she would be in Claw City Park or What's doing in a place where she was different from the rest of the inhabitants there–a lesser kind of difference, the whole thing scared me to my bones. The only thought that crawled into my head when my son told me of the littl
