His Mafia Princess

His Mafia Princess

"Good morning, Stace," said Scott, briefly laying his hand on my shoulder in passing. I reflexively shrugged my shoulder out of his grasp, then cringed. A little too late to run from his touch now. A little too late to pretend I don't love it. "Good morning," I said, the words coming out as a squeak. A pained look flashed in Scott's eyes as he withdrew his hand from me. I wished I could stop myself from acting stupidly around him. I wanted to drown myself in my coffee cup. Things were such a mess. When he held me after we did it yesterday afternoon, I thought we were good. Then nightfall came and it suddenly hit me. We boned. After that, I couldn't look him in the eye, much less let him hold me all night. How naive was I? Of course we weren't good. We did it. Boning seemed like the wrong word for what happened. Did Scott Brady make love to me? I don't know how much sleep he got. We had our backs to each other all night. I barely got any, and yet I felt wide awake. "You okay, Stace?" Kenny asked, looking at me with concern. "You're not coming down with something, are you?" Scott and I looked at each other. Again, I was the first to look away. Dammit. "All good. Thanks Ken," I said, raising my coffee cup to my lips. Flashes of Scott's lips lightly brushing up against mine danced before my eyes and I stopped drinking, setting the mug down with a thump.

Chapter: Scott— The perfect storm pt 1
"You can't go in there. They won't side with you. Not with Don Angelo on the loose. They will cower at my father's feet. Walking in there is suicide," said Jenny's voice through the phone. "She's right," said Jeff, the mere sound of his voice setting Luca off. "What the fuck were you thinking, bringing a fed with you?" Luca asked, glaring at me. There I was, in a car with the next Don Angelo and Jeff. They didn't trust each other and I didn't trust them. It was the perfect storm. To bring Stacy home though, I was willing to use everything and everyone at my disposal. The real surprise wasn't Luca getting pissed at me for bringing Jeff. It was Jeff getting in Luca's car in the first place. "He's not just a fed anymore. He's the director of the FBI," I said, to Jeff's surprise. "What? Did you think you were in this car because I wanted to bond with you? I keep tabs on you too, Jeff. I know your promotion to director came directly after Don Angelo's arrest. New job. Must be a l

Chapter: Scott — Everything went to shit pt 7
Breaking out into a run, I hastily made my way to the bathroom with Jeff and the others following behind me. When I got to the door, what was left of my composure slipped away from me. The corpses of the men who had been watching her for weeks as she took her exams laid on the floor, stacked onto each other in front of the door. The women screamed when they saw the bodies. "Don't look," said Kenny, ushering the women away from the scene. I beat Jeff through the bathroom door, stepping over the bodies. We kicked open stall doors, but they were all empty. "Fuck," a ugly scream let loose from my throat. I started pacing and dragging my fingers through my hair. No. No. No. She was gone. She was fucking gone and it was all my fault. I never should have let her out of my sight tonight. Luca warned me I was endangering her, but I just had to know better. I was so sure Don Angelo would never do anything to hurt her because I knew I never would. I thought we were the same, at lea

Unlike the nosy assholes Luca stuck me with, Stacy's bodyguards always gave her space as a sign of respect, so she wouldn't have to explain their presence. They were nearby whenever she set foot out of the house though. When she went to campus for her exams or to study at the library and even when our clandestine meetings started, they'd be nearby. When she went to lunch today, they sat two tables away until I picked her up. Then they followed us to the gallery. It was constant and honestly somewhat annoying, especially when we met with the sole purpose of fucking, but we got over it pretty quickly. Now I relied on the relief knowing they were with her gave me. "Because the two of you started associating with Luca Cattaneo. I wanted to see where it went," Jeff answered frankly, watching me panic as I started walking away from him. "Where is she, Scott?" "I'd be mad that you were having me investigated, except you're lying Jeff. I'm your son. Of course I took crazy precautions to m

"Don't take it personally. You're not the problem, buddy. It's your face and your general body and all around personality and the way women react to all those things. Just a few more months of this until you're married. No one is derailing this marriage," said Kenny. If I wasn't so ticked off at the implication that I'd even want my dick in someone other than Stacy, I'd be touched. Kenny really was rooting for us in his own way. They all were. Making certain to present me to a man this time, Kenny and Marlene walked me straight into the beginning of the end of my joy. "Hey, Agent Brady. Crap," Kenny said, belatedly finding out that the man in question was Jeff.If my boner wasn't already dead, Jeff's presence would have done it. "Hey Kenneth. Scott. Marlene, right?" said Jeff, holding out his hand to Marlene to shake. A confused Marlene accepted his handshake and said, "Have we—" "Scott's socials are flooded by your wedding

Not even all the blood from my brain flooding my dick allowed me to forget that I was still offended about being accused of cheating on my dream girl. "What he means is he's so happy you're all here," said Stacy, beaming from ear to ear as we were surrounded by our loved ones. "Ken, you and Marlene get Scott. Willow and I need to take Stacy to get some air. Goodness, you're red in the face," said my concerned mom, inevitably making my girlfriend blush more.I did a quick check to see if being surrounded by our loved ones helped. How could it though when she gave me bedroom eyes? Yup, still hard. "Happy for you, dork. You did good tonight and with Stacy too," Willow said, kissing me on my cheek before she left to join them. "So the ring is a go? Is the design ready?" Marlene asked, taking my arm and gently steering me towards someone looking at one of my unsold photos. I tried to listen to her and Kenny, but even from al

But the damage was already done. When she tried to pull away, now blushing again, I let her know about my problem by pressing my hard on into her back. She bit her lower lip again, but a muffled moan came out of her anyway. "Distract me," I said, trying to control myself. Was it even possible to have a boner that she gave me go away without one of her holes or her hands being involved? "Well you can't never sell a photo and I'm not going anywhere, so you'll just have to suck it up. In fact, you would probably sell more photos if you didn't spend all your time hiding out with me," she said, her voice shaky and uneven. "First you're jealous of a thumbs up and me knowing someone's name, who I worked with by the way, and now you want to get rid of me? Damn, talk about hot and cold," I said, resisting the urge to dry hump her ass as my hands moved impatiently about her middle and I laid a chaste kiss on her neck. "You do know no one knows who the photographer is, right?" Kenny a

The Girl Who Loved Two Princes: The Her Before You

Aria Maine is a new queen in need of a king consort to claim her throne. Her brother's best friend… "What are you doing Barry?" she whispered, watching his hands drizzle water up and down her arms after he dropped the shirt in the water. "I have absolutely no idea," he said, laying his mouth down on her shoulder, kissing it for the first time. The bad boy prince she fell for long ago… "Hey asshole! I didn't screw your sister's fiance okay? Nothing happened. Can I go home now?" "Shut up!" he growled, biting her lip. "Just shut up," he ordered, leaning into her, pressing his body up against hers before shoving his tongue down her throat. Prince charming, her ally in war… "My heart won't survive you, Aria Maine. Is there anyone that's not in love with you?" Three suitors. A ticking clock. Boy oh boy, (oh boy) how does a girl choose?

Chapter: Consumed by you pt 3
As he took her around the room, Troy started paying attention again because he loved how excited she got when one of them won. The first time she did it, he was thrown, returning her enthusiastic embrace a second too late, as she had already started pulling her arms away from around his neck. While the thrill of gambling was going to her head, her touching him was going to his. The more they won, the more she touched him. Aria made no attempt to initiate holding hands, kissing or hugging before, but now she was all over him like they hadn’t just had their first date yesterday. They were having such a good time that when they got up to their hotel room, Troy realized that he hadn’t thought this through after all. Yesterday she was the woman he was going to marry, end of story and he would have gone to bed with her in a heartbeat to seal the deal. But then he met her last night, really met her, met the her not at war, saw different things in her eyes, new things. She even

She turned back three times, checking to see if he was still watching her. Troy waved at her the first time. Not trusting himself not to do it again when she inevitably looked back a second time, he stuck his hands into his pockets. She did look again, like he knew she would. This earned her a naughty wink for her bravery. When she turned back for the last time, she was holding onto the wall, biting back a grin, about to enter the castle. He blew her a kiss, sending her into a fit of giggles. She didn’t even know why she was laughing. He laughed too, at how ridiculous they were being, two future monarchs putting off a trip to make eyes at each other. “Get a grip Aria,” she scolded herself, as she all but ran down the corridor, suddenly in a hurry to be done with her packing. Aaron advanced towards Troy, but Bart stonewalled him. “Gentlemen, if you’ll excuse me,” said Troy, taking off too.“You’re just going to let her go?!”“I don’t li

2019, December 8th Bart and Aria ran into each other during the morning sparring session. He gave her a warm smile and she returned it. She looked better than she had in the corridor yesterday. He was happy to see her in such good spirits. “Are we doing this or what?” “You and I both know I don’t have a chance against you on my own,” she grinned. “Excuses,” he said, charging at her, wrapping his arms around her waist and picking her up the way Ethan used to. “This doesn’t exactly seem like a fight to the death,” she laughed. “It’s been a minute. I wanted to check in on you,” he said, looking up at her, his eyes softening. “Do it with your eyes then and stop being so hands on,” Aaron snapped, walking up to them. “You two look like you’re screwing.” Anger was coming off of Aaron in waves. He’d been going crazy all night wondering what happened last night between Troy and Aria after they left the fountain, dripping wet and laughing like a bunch of fools. She’d never l

Chapter: Day one: a page from Aaron's playbook pt 4
They’d never danced together before, but that night CC and Troy danced for hours, all but forgetting what they were supposed to be doing here until the announcement came. They shared a look. She was suddenly uncertain and in that moment, Caroline Condor was just a girl. Troy looked at the ring that had been brought to him, the one he meant to give her tonight. He went down onto one knee and pulled a box out of his coat pocket. She gasped when he opened the box. The ring he held, the one he was about to propose with, was his grandmother’s. Caroline wanted to bolt. She couldn’t do this. She couldn’t say yes, certainly not to that ring. “I met you over four months ago and it was the most terrifying night of my life. Not because your brother punched me, although that wasn’t very fun.” The crowd laughed. CC smiled too, her heart in her throat. “But because I laid eyes on you, heard you speak, held you in my arms and knew alm

Here we go,” Aaron sighed, watching the dance and shaking his head. He felt her arm tighten around his as she linked them. She was pulling him onto the dance floor before he knew what was happening. “Far be it for me to refuse a woman, but what’s happening right now?” he asked, as she buried her face in the crook of his neck. “I’m not exactly supposed to be here,” she whispered. Aaron chuckled. “Oh, it’s my mystery woman. I was wondering when you’d show up. What’s with the funny hat?” he asked, laying one hand on her lower back and the other on her head as he swayed to the music with her. “You didn’t know who it was, but you just let yourself be pulled along? Just let some random woman—” She stopped short. Aaron smirked, swallowing his laughter. He was super tempted to pull her head back and kiss her again. He’d known the moment she laid her arm in his that it was her. No other woman would demand, take quite like her. “Are you going to show me your ridiculously cute je

Troy pulled her onto the dance floor. She went without protest, something CC had never done before. They hadn’t danced together since the ball he met her at a few months ago. “Alright Caroline, I’ll play. Rule number two. What are you up to?” he said into her ear. Troy didn’t keep his distance like he had the night they met. He held her as close to his body as he could. CC had danced with countless men, but never like this. Never had any of them taken such deliberate steps to hold her like a man holds his woman. “I don’t know what you mean,” she said, pulling away subtly. Not subtle enough though. Troy pulled her even closer to him somehow. She gulped. She didn’t realize there could be a closer. “You woke up this morning and just decided you were ready to spend the rest of your life with the man who’s been making you stay with him for the last four months by threatening to go to war with your country?” He spun her out and twirled her back to him. Their eyes met. Did

Chapter: Epilogue: the her before you - pt 2
(Sartis Est: Some time ago)It was over, at least in real time. In her head, it was still ongoing. She was still imagining the agony, the fear her brother and parents and thousands of her people had experienced when they were blown to bits. Even as she watched her country still alight, still burning while what was left of her people worked tirelessly to put it out, she was kneeling in the dirt and the ashes to receive the crown, her father’s crown. A crown that was never supposed to touch her red-haired head. She remembered her father’s strict words to her brother every time he showed that he was hurt or wanted to cry. “Tears are not for monarchs,” he’d say and Ethan, her brother, would immediately stop crying, like it was a switch he’d just flipped. She kept saying the words to herself like a mantra, softly so that only she could hear them. When the other side’s surrender came, she gave the order to annihilate them. What good was their surrender now? Her entire family was dead and s

Chapter: Epilogue: the her before you pt 1
(8 Months Later)Their loved ones had, at last, convinced James that it was time to take Zoey on their honeymoon. King Henry had managed to detain the newlyweds for far too long, both he and James recognizing that he had a lot to learn about the ins and outs of what exactly being a prince entailed. Since James wanted to be with his wife and involve her as much as possible in his life, his world, even if that meant that they spent a lot of their time together working, Zoey was always with him, picking up the tricks of the trade along the way. They even managed to make it look romantic somehow, stealing little moments wherever they could, disappearing when they could. So their marriage wasn’t exactly on the rocks, but they had earned some time to just be with each other, like they’d always wanted. They had been gone for two weeks when the news that the palace would be having a new guest reached them. “Your worry lines are showing, Jamie,” said Zoey, wrapping her arms around his neck

He just watched her, letting her words settle into his heart. Her touch comforted him, made him feel loved, like he had all her attention. Maybe he was just letting it all go to his head, but he didn't care. As far as he was concerned, they were forever now. They really were a bunch of besotted fools. She was absolutely out of her mind for him and he for her and nothing and no one was going to change that."I love you too, James Beaumont, Condor, whomever," she whispered, as she watched him fall asleep. She had seen the questions in his eyes, the concern. Maybe she had taken on more than she could handle. There was peace in his eyes too when he picked her up afterwards, though. That moment that he looked at her and seemed to believe, seemed to realize that she was never going anywhere again, she wou

2019, March 31st & April 1st(Eleganter Ludo) When Zoey and James got to the penthouse around 3 AM, they were exhausted. But the goodbyes had been so emotional that they ended up just staring at the wall. “Having second thoughts?” he asked.“Nope. Are you?” she asked back.“Nope.”“Are you lying?”“Yes.”“Me too.” In a bid to make him and herself feel better, Zoey got up, put some music on, went into the bedroom and put the emerald dress he’d so lovingly saved on. “Dance with me?” she said, holding onto the skirt of the dress. He smiled at her. She had no idea what this gesture meant to him. “I never thought I’d see that dress again,” he said, pulling her into his arms, just holding on tight for a moment. “Do you know why I took it off of you that night?” he asked, as he began to gently sway to the music, moving with her. “You don't have to tell me,” she answered gently, looking down. There was hurt in his eyes, just like the moment he had taken it off of her that night. 2019, March 31st & April 1st(Caines - palace)By the time James and Zoey showed up in Caines, it was already midnight. Feeling like they were about to betray everyone, James and Zoey were squeezing each other’s hands tightly as they sat in front of King Henry and Cassandra. “So, you’ve decided then,” said King Henry. “We’re leaving tomorrow morning. I’m taking Zoey on our honeymoon,” James said, kissing her hand. “Where to?” Cassandra asked, her face a mixture of happiness and concern. “We don’t know yet. We’re just going to go,” Zoey answered. King Henry was furious, but he said nothing. Cassandra sighed. “Well, make sure to take lots of pictures and enjoy every moment and check in-”“Damn it, he’s only 19, James!” Henry exploded. “And your sister, she can’t take a crown, not after what happened with her mother. You know how she is; she’s absolutely set on that boy.” “Henry, they’ve made up their minds,” Cassandra said gently. Zoey and James exchanged looks. She did know,

2019, March 31st & April 1stJames had been driving Zoey around all day on his brand-new motorbike. He thought he would have to get her one too and then thought better of it. He liked the feel of her against his back as he drove it, her arms around his waist. They’d been all over Copia. He took her to markets and what he considered to be a better painting class than what she'd been taking. He took her to beautiful clearings and showed her breath-taking flower fields and secret coves he’d found while walking on the beach for hours. The bathing suit she had shown up in last time she wanted a beach day was of course forbidden, but then the wetsuit she had ended up in didn’t make men stop and stare any less. It drove him crazy. He showed her absolutely everything he could think of.Finally, as the sun was setting, he took her up to his favourite tower of Beaumont house and showed her his favourite spot in his city.
