BRIDE OF A MAFIA KING

"Don't waste your time doing those." I heard his deep voice behind me as l accidentally dropped the spoon in my hand. "I-I wanted to make you breakfast." I replied in a timid voice, a little higher than a whisper. "I'm not hungry." He grumbled as he walked past me to settle on a stool. "Okay." I mumbled as I stood there like a statue not knowing what to do next. "You look hot in that dress." He smirked as he poured some scotch into a glass cup before taking a sip. "it's a pity I don't see you as a woman." "what do you see me as then?" | asked as I blinked away the tears forming in my eyes. "Just a pet." he shrugged. "not my fault your parents sold you to me." "What are you talking about? I'm your wife." I say as l glared at him. "Really? who told you that?" "My parents told me you loved me that was why you married me." My voice broke as I remembered how my parents convinced me into agreeing to our marriage. "Well, your parents lied." *************** Priscilla williams was forced into an arranged marriage because of her parent's debt to powerful mafia king Alfonso de Luca. Chapter: 7
I got discharged the following day and Alfonso took me home, my parents and sisters went home with us but later in the evening, they left. So far, it’s been six weeks since I got home and Alfonso has been taking care of me, he’s mostly busy early in the mornings and towards evenings, so he spends as much time with me as he can in the afternoons. The security got tightened, the number of guards doubling and it’s funny because I can’t even run away again because of the people who might be at risk for my freedom. Alfonso personally prepares the food I eat, makes sure I take my medicine and helps me to the bathroom whenever he’s around, even helping me take my bath. At first I felt weird and shy because it was the first time any man was seeing me naked, but Alfonso never failed to remind me that he wasn’t interested in me, He doesn’t even show any emotion whenever he sees me in that state and sometimes he would look away when he’s done helping me scrub my back. I went for my p

Chapter: 6
Slowly coming to my senses, I became aware of a monotonous beeping sound that were like an ominous soundtrack resonating within the hollow hospital room. The sterile surroundings and pungent smell of antiseptics engulfed me as if they were part of a recurring nightmare. Hospitals had never been my favorite place; their impersonal nature always left me feeling uneasy. Yet here I was now - lying on that clinical bed instead of standing at someone else's bedside.Hospitals had always made me uneasy with their starkness and artificial lighting, but now I was immersed in it completely.“My baby is awake.” I heard a voice as a pounding headache overcame me.I tried to sit up but the piercing pain that came from my whole body forced out a cry from me.“Please lie down.” I heard my mom’s voice clearly now.“Mom?” I said, my voice coming out cracked and scratchy.“Yes sweetheart? I’m here.” She replied with a calm smile.“What’s going on? What happened?” I asked.“My dear, you got into an acci

Chapter: 5
I continued to run as lots of men chased after me, the road looked empty but I believe if I ran far enough then I would get to a busy road. I didn’t realize I was running barefooted until I felt a piercing pain up my brain, I had stepped on a shreds of glass. I quickly pulled out the ones I could, making it start to bleed profusely, but that was the least of my concern right now. I got to an intersection and I didn’t think it through before taking my left. My leg was aching badly but I couldn’t bring myself to stop running as I felt my tears go dry on my face. As I pushed myself to keep going, the world around me became a blur of colors and sounds. Sweat drenched my body, mixing with the tears that streamed down my face. The ache in my leg threatened to bring me down, but sheer determination propelled me forward. With every breath, I felt a surge of energy coursing through me - an unwavering resolve not to give up. With every gasping breath tearing through my lungs, My heart poun

I was foolish enough to think I would even be treated properly and at this point, I realized money can't buy happiness. I was not happy It dawned on me that true happiness lies in the simplest things in life - love, laughter, and a sense of purpose. In this realization, I made a decision to let go of my materialistic lifestyle and pursue a more authentic existence. I missed my family so much, but then again, I couldn’t do much. All these sacrifices were made for them and if they were happy, then I’m glad I’m the reason behind it. My so called husband has been avoiding me, he doesn't like to get close to me nor does he even look my way, I've been assigned to a teacher who comes around to tutor me for some hours on school work, I haven't seen my friends neither have I seen my family, I only talk to them on phone.
