Kylie's POV

"Do I really have to go for this dinner? Your family is going to be there and a lot of influential families, I don't think I belong there," I explained to Jaylen. This was one of the biggest end-of-year parties in town and only people of power could attend.

"Why?" Jaylen stared at me through the mirror while adjusting his necktie.

Vegas was going to be there and I didn't want him to see us together, "I'm a mere worker, how could I dare go to an event like that."

"You aren't a mere worker, you are Jaylen Noire Adryan's woman," Jaylen pecked my cheeks, "Get ready I will be downstairs waiting," Jaylen said and shut the door behind him.

Do I really have to go? I wondered how Vegas was doing, after that dinner we hadn't spoken and Jaylen on the other hand was making efforts to win me over.
