The past (5)

Sabrina was attending the class, and suddenly, a boy came and took a seat next to him. She turned to her left and saw Nathaniel, a smile blooming on her lips. What a beautiful surprise it was!

She whispered his name, but he didn't reply throughout class. Thinking that the teacher was strict, he didn't want to put anyone in trouble. So, she waited for the class to be over before talking to him. When the teacher left, she asked him, “Nate! How are you?”

Nathaniel gave her a look that she did not know he was capable of showing. She gulped. “Are you okay?”

He answered, “Do I look dead?”

His voice was coarse, and the look that he was giving her was saying that he did not like to be around her.

She shook her head. She did not know why he was talking like that to her.

Nathanial told her, “Focus on your work. Please don't disturb me. If you get bored, find your boyfriend. Dont disturb me.”

She wanted to say more, but he cut her off, “But—”

“But what?”He looked very impatient.
