“Where are they?” Zachariah asked, sounding agitated.

“They took a toilet break and said that I wait here; whatever happened in the bathroom, I don’t know,” I replied.

“Miss Eve, I need to know where they are, so stop playing games,” Zachariah stressed with a stern tone, and again I repeated that I did not know. “You don’t know?” he asked.

“I don’t,”

Zachariah let out a deep sigh as he banged his hand on the table. “I won’t ask you again, because I have noticed your meddling in this case can no longer be a coincidence; where are they?!” He shouted at me, and I glared.

“If you wake this baby up, I swear, you shall hate me,” I warned as his eyes looked down at innocent Gavin, who was asleep a moment ago, but he wasn’t.

“Starting this morning, yes,” I responded as I adjusted his pacifier.

“Eve, I don’t understand. Is this your child?” Zachariah asked again, and I raised my head. "Yes, he is; isn’t he beautiful?”
