Emily’s POV

I heard the shattering of glass and I groaned on the bed. He had started again. “What is it this time?!” I shouted in anger and got out of the bed.

He threw me out of the room that we both shared and insisted on sleeping alone and I would occasionally see him stare into space while saying Jasmine’s name. He was slowly losing it.

I left my room and my maid was already outside waiting for me. “It's cold. Why are you coming out in just your nighties?” she looked worried and hurried inside my room then came out with a jacket.
