Synopsis: Slytherin student Sebastian Sallow gets himself immersed in the Dark Arts in an attempt to cure Anne, his twin sister. His enthusiasm for these arts waned shortly after he killed his uncle Solomon using the Avada Kedavra curse. In this instance, readers will be able to catch some additional glimpses of the character's life before, during, and sometime after the events portrayed in the Hogwarts Legacy game.

Review of Sebastian Sallow x Reader Collection by sebastianwallows

Author Introduction | sebastianwallows

The author is largely anonymous and has only published six writing projects online. Out of those six, two are somewhat related to Hogwarts Legacy, to wit: "Ominis Gaunt x Reader Collection" and "Sebastian Sallow x Reader Collection" (the one under review).

Theme: A Collection of Conflicting Feelings

"Sebastian Sallow x Reader Collection" consists of a series of notes that hint at a very passionate romantic relationship between the reader and Sebastian. He behaves like a ruthless prick for the most part. At the same time, he's highly protective of the people he really cares about (in this case, "you"). Of Course, this "you" is a hypothetical character and not the real you.

In any event, Sebastian is wholly aware of himself, and even though he doesn't usually mind causing havoc to get what he wants, he evidently couldn't bear knowing he dragged the people he loves into the proverbial mud. These are the kind of internal dichotomies one could find in people typically considered evil.

At the same time, "you" know Sebastian very well. "You" know he's a brute and a monster, but he's "your monster"! This is illustrative of individuals who are wont to fall in love with "difficult" people only they can cope with.

Characters: Sebastian Sallow and You

As you may already imagine, the main protagonists in these stories are "you" and Sebastian. Let's outline these in brief:

Sebastian Sallow

Sebastian is charismatic and extroverted. However, he also has an inflated ego and hides a much gloomier mindset beneath his superficially charming demeanor, especially ever since he started delving into the Dark Arts. Furthermore, he is a person with no notion of scruples.

You

"You" are someone special in Sebastian's life (in most chapters, at least). In other words, you're his main love interest. "You" are not known by name yet take an integral part in all these episodes.

Point of View: From Narrator to Reader

The stories in this collection are told by an omniscient narrator who speaks to the reader, describing the latter's actions in second person point of view.

This perspective is refreshing, but, ironically, it could produce the adverse effect of making the reader feel odd and disconnected, especially if they don't share the same values and preferences as the person to whom the narrator is hypothetically speaking.

Plot: More Like A Collection of Plots

What's fascinating about this book is that there is no discernible "plot." What we get is a series of notes and memories. These memories would be from the characters' time at Hogwarts - learning their different crafts - and beyond.

The book begins with "Lust," in which we get introduced to an erotic encounter between "you" and Sebastian, possibly under the effects of a love potion. The scene here is incredibly graphic, so readers beware!

Then, you'll find "Unforgiveable," in which Percy tries to take advantage of "you" by giving you a dose of love potion. Sebastian, upon finding out about this, teaches Percy a lesson. For its part, "First for Everything" describes the reader's first intercourse with Sebastian.

Other Fun Stories Include:

· "Let Me Show You," where Ominis (another Hogwarts Legacy character) admits he has never kissed a girl before and "you" offer to teach him the ropes

· "I Needed This," wherein "you" run away with Sebastian shortly after the incident with Solomon.

Hottest Chapters in Sebastian Sallow x Reader Collection

Out of all the stories found in this collection, the first one (aptly called "Lust"), "Desperate," and "Unhinged" are three of the most intense in terms of sexual content.

"Locked In" is particularly tense since it tells about a time "you" and Sebastian get trapped in an anti-magic room. It's a cold and dark space, and "you" admit, hesitantly, that you're afraid of the dark. Sebastian takes this opportunity to move closer in order to cuddle with you and heat up.

Writing Style: Magic for Readers

The writing style in "Sebastian Sallow x Reader Collection" is exceptionally enthralling, engaging, and easy to understand if we only judge by the language. Aside from a few spells, the words used will not leave readers scratching their heads. In addition, the author doesn't spare any details (notably during the sex scenes), making for a flavorful reading experience.

That said, as posited earlier, the "novel" (if it could even be called that) reads more like a series of episodes that don't follow a clear plotline. They're more like snippets of events that take place in the Hogwarts universe in no strict chronological order.

Each episode is its own little self-contained story. That said, some chapters leave readers with a cliffhanger, albeit not an overly dramatic one.

Will Sebastian Sallow x Reader Collection Be Able to Enchant You?

"Sebastian Sallow x Reader Collection" is a fantastic fanfic work that many Hogwarts Legacy fans (especially those who like "smut") will enjoy, filled with colorful scenes and characters. As for readers who are not acquainted with Harry Potter or HL, the novel may appear foreign.
