Why Does Sukuna Like Megumi

In Jujutsu Kaisen, a popular manga/anime, Sukuna, which is known as the King of Curses, definitely has an unusual fondness for Megumi Fushiguro. As a matter of fact, nothing is said about the reasons in particular. But one theory that seems to penetrate is Megumi's potential.

It's believed that Sukuna sees something in Megumi, some kind of energy which he has not known before. Especially when it comes to the Ten Shadows Technique. The reason for this is hinted at.

Sukuna may also be interested in Megumi because of his lineage or the very peculiar nature of his cursed technique. But, exactly how and why Sukuna is interested in Megumi is still a mystery. You have to wait for it to be retold.

Diving deep into the world of "Jujutsu Kaisen", all the characters seem so complex that it makes me happy. What really made me pause was Sukuna's interest in Megumi Fushiguro. Megumi, first of all, has incredible potential and depending on his chance, can produce any number of different possible outcomes. The Ten Shadows technique is very interesting to Sukuna. In this way, Megumi can produce ten different shikigami by nature alone.

As Sukuna sees it, Megumi is simply not wielding his ability to the max and has yet more potential gleaming on the horizon waiting to be born! Sukuna believes he'll be able to summon something even more powerful or unique and hence his interest. Moreover, Megumi is not just an ordinary Jujutsu sorcerer. He is a member of the Zenin family.

Thus, his entrenched abilities plus the lineage from his ancestors make Megumi both significant and maybe good in Sukuna's eyes. Well that's just a theory--many such theories can be found. As the story develops, we keep hearing tiny clues about their strange connection but nothing is definite yet. So with excitement at its peak we go on guessing and waiting for revelations!
