Anna's POV The night smelled of rain, fresh and clean, and while I would have wanted nothing more than to gush over how it made the night sky beautiful, I didn't have time. I was on a tight schedule, and I didn't push myself to do what I needed to, then I would forever resent myself, and that was the last thing I wanted. I slipped through the shadows, making sure the dark blanket covered each and every inch of my body. Thanks to the slightly open windows in the mansion, the cold air nipped at my skin.
