Chapter 1

"What about that rebellious girl? Has she begged for mercy yet?" My father's questions echoed like thunder in the large villa. The butler, Alfred Donald, replied in a trembling voice, "Sir, Ms. Xavier hasn't come out yet."In between my father's fingers was a cigar, and he paused in his action momentarily. "I've spoiled her. That's why she's so unruly. How dare she lock Rosie in the car? We should let her suffer a bit."Alfred could not bear it and said, "But it's over 104 degrees outside. It's so hot in the car. Won't Ms. Xavier…""Ha, hot? I want her to feel the heat. Let's see if she'll treat Rosie like that again. Only when she feels the heat in the car will she stop doing things like that." My father's voice was indifferent as if he had entirely forgotten that I had been locked in the trunk for seven days.Alfred tried to say something more, but my father interrupted impatiently, "Enough. Do you think no one's been secretly sending her food? She's fine. She won't die."Heari

Chapter 2

Twenty years ago, Queenie broke up with my father and immediately married a wealthy and powerful man per her family's arrangement. Times changed, and the wealthy man lost his fortune. Meanwhile, my father, who had been poor, married my mom and managed to turn his life around—becoming wealthy. It was a dramatic turn of events. My mom eventually passed away, and Queenie got divorced. These two were good news to my father.Just like that, Queenie and my father got back together. She and her daughter moved in and stole everything that was mine—my clothes, my room, and eventually, my father.Seven days ago, Rosie came home happily, saying she had gotten her driver's license and could now drive. My father said he would buy her a car, but she hesitated for a moment and shyly said, "I think the pink car in the garage is pretty nice."I replied coldly, "That car is a gift from Dad to me. If you want one, ask your dad to buy it. Don't you have your own dad?"That pink car was a birthday gif

Chapter 3

When everyone in the villa was asleep at night, Alfred entered the garage. An awful stench hit him before he got close to the car. The closer he got to the car, the stronger the smell. The unknown liquid on the ground had started to breed maggots. He had a bad feeling.I stood in front of him, saying, "Hurry back. Don't look. It's awfully disgusting. Really, you'll lose your appetite for life after seeing it."Alfred was a kind man who had begged for mercy for me before. However, his influence was insignificant, and he could not risk his decent-paying job to help much. Perhaps my advice worked. He took several steps back and left without a glance. The next morning, my father was in a great mood. After breakfast, he took a beautifully wrapped gift box from the cabinet and placed it in front of Rosie when she was not paying attention."Rosie, happy birthday. Open your gift."Rosie's face lit up with surprise. "Thank you, Mr. Xavier!" She eagerly opened it, revealing a key fob inside

Chapter 4

Due to the heat, my corpse was already unrecognizable. Only my eyes remained wide open as if I had died without peace of mind. Some parts of my corpse had decayed to the point that my bones were exposed, and the rest was crawling with white maggots. As the trunk lid opened, the flies lying on my corpse were startled, and the buzzing sound was endless.Several household helpers immediately rushed to the side to throw up, unable to take another glance. My father stepped forward. The moment he saw my body, his pupils instantly shrank before he lost his temper. "Where's Blake? This isn't Blake! Ask her to come out!" He stared at the decayed face. For some reason, the forehead was severely rotten. My skull was already visible. When I looked at that face, I could not believe it was mine. Finally, Alfred could not help saying loudly, "Sir, this is Ms. Xavier. She's already dead."My father glared at him. "You old fool. Are you senile? This doesn't look anything like Blake. This must

Chapter 5

I turned around and saw that Alfred and several household helpers were too scared to look at the corpse, let alone clean it up.One of the maids asked, "Alfred, what should we do? I'm too scared to touch it."Alfred sighed, removed his white gloves, and threw them onto the ground. "I quit. Take care."When he said that, the others also decided to leave. After all, there was a corpse lying here. They were only household helpers, not forensics. Disposing of a corpse was not within their job scope. Besides, many of them had just seen my corpse. The psychological trauma was not something that could be compensated by money. Even if they were offered more money, they did not want to stay."I quit too! Having a corpse in the house is so scary!""Yeah! He could even kill his own daughter. I'm too scared to stay here!"All the household helpers present chose to quit. They removed their gloves and aprons as they strode out of the place. Alfred was the last to leave. He had worked here f

Chapter 6

At night, Rosie lay in bed and took out a phone from under her pillow. I then realized that it was my phone. I had no idea when she had taken it.She opened the pinned chat on WhatsApp, quickly typed out a sentence, and sent it.Almost immediately, angry shouts rang in my father's room. "I knew that damn girl faked her death! How dare she threaten me? I don't have a daughter like her! I hope she dies out there and stays dead!"I leaned over to see what Rosie had sent that made him so furious.Blake: [Old fool, if you terminate my credit card, I'll kill myself!]I clucked my tongue in dissatisfaction. "That was it? That was so harmless."At this point, all I felt for my biological father was hatred and nothing else. I should even thank Rosie for cursing him on my behalf. Now that I was dead, he could not threaten me anymore. There were messages from friends trying to reach me on WhatsApp. Rosie read through each of them but did not reply. Then, she picked up her phone and searc

Chapter 7

After leaving my house, my friend kept texting me. My phone was in Rosie's pocket, vibrating constantly. Perhaps Rosie was afraid that my friend would report it to the police, so she stealthily replied.Blake: [Everything is fine. Don't worry.]It was completely unlike the way I would speak, so my friend bombarded my phone with replies.Rosie got a bit scared and turned off my phone, hiding it in the toilet tank before following my father on their vacation abroad. I joined them.Aside from going around, my father also took Queenie to the hospital. Her pregnancy was unplanned, but since she got pregnant, he hoped it would be a boy. The domestic hospitals could not determine the baby's gender, so they decided to check it while they were abroad. When they found out it was a boy, my father was so happy that he seemed to have suddenly gotten ten years younger. "Good! I'll name him Leif. He'll inherit my fortune in the future."My father and Queenie returned to the hotel with glowing f

Chapter 8

"I don't know. That little bastard has been missing for a long time," my father said coldly.A police officer replied, "Alright, Mr. Xavier. We'll continue looking, but we also hope you'll cooperate with our investigation."No matter how hard the police searched, they could never find me. It was because I was still lying in that trunk. My body had already decomposed and might soon become a skeleton. No one could find me.The police searched everywhere, trying to locate me. However, all the surveillance footage showed only a woman in a mask and hat. They could not confirm that it was me.Their search took so long that even Queenie had been discharged from the hospital. However, the police still had not found any trace of me."It's as if she vanished into thin air," a police officer said when he came to our house. My father remarked, "Hmph, how can a living person just vanish? Her low-life friends must have helped her. Blake is vicious. She must be hiding!"The police officer did

Chapter 9

The young police officer was dumbfounded. They were experienced in investigating cases, so they understood what was going on. The only possibility was that the person they were searching for was already dead.Watching them realize it, I sighed in relief. I hoped they could hurry and find my corpse because I was worried they would get a bigger scare if my corpse had already turned into a skeleton. The police took their findings back to my father. "Mr. Xavier, we now suspect that something bad might have happened to Blake. We hope you'll cooperate with our investigation."My father did not believe it. "No way. She could drive a car to hit Queenie. How could anything bad have happened to her?"The police officer answered, "But Blake seemed to have vanished before the accident. There have been no transactions, no call records, nothing. Mr. Xavier, do you think that's possible?"The police officer's expression was stern, yet my father dismissed his words. "How is it not possible? I can

Chapter 10

George stepped forward, but my father grabbed his pant leg before he could speak."Captain Zachary, this is fake. This isn't my daughter, right?" A glimmer of hope appeared in my father's eyes, making him look like a father worried for his daughter. However, George kicked my father aside, took out a pair of handcuffs behind him, and cuffed my father."Mr. Xavier, your former butler reported you to the police for murder and hiding a body. We have surveillance footage as evidence," George explained and shook his phone. "Unfortunately, this is your daughter.""No way! It can't be! My daughter isn't dead. No way! She must've gone on holiday. She used a fake corpse to trick me!" My father struggled fiercely even though he was cuffed. His eyes filled with despair.I stood silently at the side, watching his frantic state. Was he afraid of going to jail for murder and losing everything after those handcuffs went on? Or was he panicking because he knew that I was truly gone and would never
