But that was only the beginning of her troubles. John replaced her father as the next beta and framed him for embezzlement. It's interesting. The FL is essentially a leaf in a hurricane. She has damn near no control over how effed up her life is & what she does have control over, she fumbles due to naivete and idiocy lol. However, she's just the plot center. All the characters surrounding her is why the book is good.
