Chapter One

Qyxiella “OH, C’MON, QUE-xa-ella! You can do it! You can find a man tonight and ace our bet!” Zhenesca, one of my best friends, naughtily smiled as she drank her tequila and said my name drunkenly.I exhaled a bored sigh. Zhen is correct. I could easily meet a man tonight if I wanted to, because this was Zhenesca and Forester's dare, to give up my first kiss to the man who would catch my eye tonight. Our bet was made five years ago, but would only happen tonight. “Stop it, Zhen. Let Qyxie decide on her own. Remember that forcing people to do things against their will would give a bad outcome?” Forester, who was busy mixing her drinks, glared at Zhenesca to stop her from teasing me.Zhenesca shook her head because Forester was always contradicting whatever she said. The three of us were having a good time at Club QyZheTer. This high-end club was located in the beautiful city of Cebu and was owned by us, hence the combination of our names. We founded the club four years ago, after my 1

CHAPTER TWO QYXIELLAI didn't struggle when Blyre kissed me, caressed me, and when he tried to take off my clothes, I obediently complied. I like his kisses. It was a fleeting good feeling. My world stopped to savor his sinful lips. His every touch seared my skin and my heart jolted in happiness. Blyre is very caring. Every touch of his hand was silently asking for permission if he could go dipper. When his hand reached my folds, he gently cupped it before slowly rubbing it and inserting a finger. I screamed loudly. “Ahh… Blyre. Hmm!” I bite my tongue to stifle my moans, but I can't. Blyre’s hand is too much. “Forgive me for what I will do next, Qyxiella. I'll give you what you asked for.” Blyre claimed my lips and slowly nibbled it while his other hand started taking off my dress. I didn't protest. Searing heat enveloped my body as Blyre covered me with his kisses. When he settled himself on top of me, I knew this night was going to be the night I would feel bliss. I opened my le

Chapter Three

QYXIELLAThe sun had already set, and the glaring sunlight stopped hurting my eyes. I took off my sunglasses and placed them on my head before yawning weakly, still feeling a bit sleepy. The sunset painted the sky crimson, blanketing the island with its splendid view. I leaned my back on the recliner and pondered about my life since I set foot on this island nine years ago. It was harsh. I am caged and tied like a bird wanting to fly free but can't.I turned my head to look at the crowd on the beach. Couples are kissing while naked girls walk around with hard liquor in their hands, flaunting their flawless and stunning looks for everyone to see. I bitterly caressed the unwanted scar on my abdomen. This scar is a constant reminder that, sometime in the past, I experienced happiness. Feeling gloomy, I stood up and decided to go back to my penthouse. My husband called me earlier saying that he will be back tonight after staying in the Philippines for three months. I heaved a saddened si

QYXIELLAHe looked at me before speaking. "Qyxiella, I've been looking for you for nine years. I need your explanation for leaving me alone without saying anything! Why did you never keep your promises? Why?" As his face approached me, I inhaled his sweet-smelling breath, making my heart race even faster from being close to him and from being scared of the incoming henchmen."Why, Qyxiella? Why did you abandon me with no reasons or explanations?” He scoffed. "Why did you leave a promise only to break it? And now you are saying that you're married?" Bryle’s voice was full of painful expressions as he stared at me, scrutinizing every detail.I immediately avoided his gaze because I couldn't bear the loneliness and pain written in his eyes. I am hurt if Bryle is in pain, but I can't help but to push him away for his own safety."Everything is in the past, don’t dwell on it anymore. Mr. Walker. Move on and forget about me. I now have a life. I'm happy." When I finished my sentences, I shru

QyxiellaI took off the Versace sunglasses that were covering my eyes, placed them on my head, and yawned weakly, still feeling a bit sleepy. The sun is setting in the west and kissing the horizon. The sky glows crimson and blankets the island with its splendid view. I leaned back in my recliner seat and looked up at the orange glow of the sky that has been my daily routine in Isla Lobos for the past eight years. I would go down to the beach every afternoon to watch the sunset and reminisce on my life nine years ago.Sunset brightens my gloomy mood, and as the sun sets, it takes my sorrow away. I couldn’t even imagine it, but I felt better every time I watched the sun going down to sleep, but lighting the other part of the world.I turned my head to look at the crowd on the beach. Couples are kissing. Naked girls walking around with wine or hard liquor in their hands, flaunting their stunning bodies. Flawless and tanned under the sun's reflection.I gently caressed the unwanted scar

"No!" Bler was persistent. He did not only not listen to me but also forced me to face him without regard for the two oncoming henchmen."No! You let go of me!" I struggled hard, and my eyes begged Bler to let me go before the henchmen approached. He locked his gaze on me before speaking. "Qyxiella, I've been looking for you for nine years. Chapter 7

"Good evening, baby!" I smiled widely at Bler as I entered the kitchen. He was busy cooking and I shook my head because he didn't even hear me coming. He was wearing headphones!I tsked and blew a soft breath. I leaned on the doorframe and grinned like a lovesick fool while watching my boyfriend lovingly. Bler's back was on me so I could freely scrutinize him in silence. His upper body was bare and I could see his muscle reflexes at every movement. He got the right muscles in the right places. My boyfriend is one hell of a man. A perfect shape for a handsome face. His movement was fast but accurate, which shows his expertise in the kitchen, with his cooking skills on top. He is one hell of a chief. That is one of the reasons why I like him. Not only was the food yummy, but my boyfriend was also!My subconscious giggled at the thought. For almost a year of being together, we hardly ate out because Bler always cooks for me. Well, he owns a restaurant, so I am not surprised anymore.
