Chapter 4Ciara My heartbeat accelerated, so fast the movement was loud enough for my ears to pick naturally without enhancement. It thumped erratically, almost affecting the balance of my restrained arms. His sentence came reiterating like an engine sound in my brain, “To have you pay for your father’s sin.” That was his response to my question about why I was abducted. The voice was suppose to turn me on further like it has been doing since we’ve met did the opposite, instead I was triggered by it; a different kind of feeling, an emotion, one I have never felt before, precisely named fear. I experienced me that left me in a state I don’t find myself liking soon or ever. It was primal and it affected me deep. My breathing was distorted and I couldn’t keep our gaze solid watching him walk out of my presence, the metallic door closing back that kept me caged in his prison. My gaze glued to the floor unable to move away, my lips trembling with raspy gasps falling out repeatedly.
