The man’s raspy voice drew the children into the story. Soon, they closed their eyes and fell asleep. It was after midnight by the time Mona was done with the sketches. Ready to hit the sack, Mona went upstairs to check on the kids and found Thaddeus and the two children sleeping on one big bed in the children’s room. The man had one arm wrapped around each child. Mona watched on with her eyes tearing up. It was now the intelligence era, and mobile phones had become part of everyday life. It was not just Mona’s knowledge of alternative medicine that everybody was surprised about, but also that Mona was Thaddeus’s wife.
