Cherry put up her guard so Kane would not be able to mindlink her. She did not want him to know where she was. He had really annoyed her the way that he had spoken and belittled her. The Lycan King stared at the phone on his hand. “Hello, King Antonio. Are you there?” It was Alpha Derek. The news that he had just given to the Lycan king had sent him into a state of shock. Dawn would probably start to ask questions soon and they had nothing that they could tell her, she would be beside herself with guilt and worry.
