[Juliette’s POV]Papa was already at the dining area when I arrived. Immediately, I rushed to his side and knelt beside his wheelchair. ‘Good morning, Papa, did you sleep well?’ I checked his face for any signs of upset. There was none. With his usual smile, his hand patted the back of my head as his old voice said, ‘I’ve slept for months, my child.’ Guilt exploded inside me.
