I sat in my seat as we continued the drive to the castle. So much has happened tonight, some good, some bad. I looked over to Connor, who was staring out the window, I cleared my throat, and he turned to me, “Did you mean what you told Neil and my Father?” He grasped my hands and smiled lightly, “No.” He said plainly, “You, Nuray, will be equal to me. You won’t have to ever be afraid of me, I can promise you that. I will never hurt you, not intentionally.” I smiled a little and nodded, “And I meant what I told you as well.” “Hmm?” “We can take this slow.” He told me, “I don’t want to push you into something you’re not ready for.” I nodded, “Thank you,” I told him, followed by a yawn; I didn’t realize how tired I was.
