Mr. Mateo cared less about pouring rain ––not so heavily though–– as he trod the watery paths and even splashed into rain pools and though he had on the comfort of his puffer-style coat but he shivered with restless abandon. Mareili felt cold shivers tickle her spine when she felt Joachim look at her and worse... he was glaring at her with so much coldness registered on his face. Mareili rounded up her lunch and retired her room, she took up one of her Mom's Novels and lay on the bed to read. As she read the book which talked about a teenage girl facing challenge, an idea pooped into her head and she immediately scampered out of the bed, heading to her Mom's room, she had decided not to visit the room until her Mom's funeral but she needed something to pour out all her thoughts and she could only find it in her Mom's room. The door screeched loudly as she opened it, the room still had her mother's scent, mixed with the strong smell of books... and it still looked the same. Mareili stood and stared at her Mom's study table which had a desk lamp and neatly arranged set of books on it, that was her Mom's favorite spot, she remembered always having to sit on the bed and watch her mom write.
